Fishing industry - not enough buyers for fish

When I put down my first fishing pier and add the fishing paths, I get a message saying there aren't enough buyers for fish. this has happened in both an established city and a new one.

I have added the fish market and fish factory in the established city and just the fish market in the new one, but it never seems to resolve.

Any advice or tips on what's happening?

Thank

You might be flooding your market / commercial space with more fish product than it is capable of selling. Try scaling production back by limiting the number of fishing lines/farms.

I've only got one fishing harbour - the boats never even start fishing! It's very frustrating...

In addition, after playing for a while longer and adding the other industries (DLC), I've noticed that my city isn't exporting anything. I've got warehouses set to balanced, but they just fill up. I've got a cargo harbour and airport, but I'm not exporting...what's happening!!!???

I had the same fishing issue with not enough buyers, meanwhile my fish factories were sitting empty. I had too many piers so all their trucks were in use exporting the excess fish and no trucks were left to deliver to the factory. It sounds similar to your warehouse issue. Are all their trucks in use? If so build more storage. More storage = more trucks to haul it to where it needs to go. Unless you mean it is not spawning trucks at all, in which case there's some other issue at work.

Sounds like an issue some where with trucks and deliveries. I don't know if the AI of the new buildings are just glitching out or maybe you have a traffic issue. Did you place anything with a move it mod or anarchy or something? Sounds like either your trucks can't find the harbor or can't find the warehouses/factories.

I have seen people with it working, so in theory it might just be a conflict with a mod your running.

Someone in another thread traced his problem with the fishing boats not spawning back to the Real Time mod.

Yeah, it seems like the trucks aren't spawning at all. None are in use, or only 1 or 2 of the 10 or so.

I thought the same thing, so tried with no mods at all, and then with only the mods subscribed since the DLC release date, cause initially the fishing industry was working, and I haven't had this problem with the industry DLC before.

No luck though - still not enough buyers. I've added in a bakery as well, for the farming industry and that's not producing anymore cause it's not selling/exporting anything.

I haven't subscribed to the Real Time mod. I have unsubscribed from other mods, but it doesn't seem to have fixed it.

Ok, so I started a new city with the --noWorkshop option on launch. It worked! So it's definitely a mod. Now to find the problem...

Cities: skylines not enough buyers for fish

Here the same problem. Unfortantly i´m not able yet either to find the problem mod. Somebody allready found the problem mod?

Cities: skylines not enough buyers for fish

You need to build one or more fish market and fish factory, make sure you have road connection to them..

Cities: skylines not enough buyers for fish

@naomi.mcnae, any chance you allread found the mod causing the problem?

So, for the fishing industry issue, unsubscribing from Rebalanced Industries fixed the problem. Then for my other industries, unsubscribing from Enhanced District Services fixed it. Now i'm exporting excess products! Yay!

Cities: skylines not enough buyers for fish

For me the problem was that i had a bus route starting next to the fishing harbor, so the bus was permanently blocking all traffic in and out from the harbor.

I find the fishing industry can quickly hit a ceiling no matter how many markets and factories I have. Even with cargo trains and harbors, I keep hitting not enough customers eventually. The only thing that seems to fix it is to limit the number of fishing farms and harbors
