CLOT Air Max 1 solar red on feet

It didn’t take long, but Edison Chen’s streetwear imprint CLOT have officially revealed pics for the upcoming Nike Air Max 1 ‘Kiss of Death – Solar Red’. Set to release exclusively at JUICE, the sneaker marks the brand’s third take on the Air Max 1 this year.

The latest collaboration follows the ‘K.O.D. OG’ and ‘K.O.D. CHA’, and pays homage to an exclusive colourway created for Kanye West during his ‘Touch The Sky’ tour stop in Hong Kong in 2006 – a pair in which only a handful of units were made.

The upcoming CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 features a reflective red heel with gold embroidery. The East meets West theme is elevated with red and gold on the upper, while mesh toe caps, bright neon pink panels, a silver mudguard, and embossed CLOT branding add to the sneaker’s exclusive aesthetic. Additionally, there’s black/white footprint printed insoles, as an updated version of the ‘K.O.D’ foot reflexology sole unit is seen down below. Last but not least, CLOT live up to their reputation by including deluxe packaging, this time making use of an ornamental shoebox.

It is interesting to note that when Nike’s now-defunct NikeiD program offered the same color options for the Air Max 1, CLOT fans rushed to recreate the exclusive colorway forcing Nike to halt production of the combination.
