interests: jason: judges her and lies about having aspergers alec: leaves her without even a meaningful goodbye teddy keys: need i say more arvin: her TEACHER boyfriends: reuben: in highschool and dates alex when in college ben: do i really need to explain (26 years of age) level 1 Bill the firefighter was by far my favorite of Alexs boyfriends. level 2 His "send-off" was the most insulting thing in series history (and I'm a HIMYM fan so that speaks volumes) Bill would NEVER make Alex feel bad for being sexually coerced by a creepy piece of shit. Bill would be on that fucker's doorstep rocking his shit. They did their relationship so fucking dirty. Finding out that you showed your naked body to a random creep would be fucking devastating. Anyone who loves you would be there comforting you. Not fucking berating you. Omg it makes me so mad xD level 1 I loved Bill and having 'the nerd' date the himbo was great chemistry imo level 1 Half of them are useless because we never heard of them from one episode to another. And that's annoying. Same for Luke's or Manny's girlfriends. level 1 They really should've kept Bill. Alex's biggest flaw is that she use her intelligence to feel superior and and shelter herself off. Dating Bill would help her confront that. I like Jason a lot so I'm not sure if in biased her but his "lying about Asperger's" was more of the depiction of teenager boys (and nerds) being bad at flirting and he own up to it immediately. So I wouldn't read too much into it. I also don't think he judges her. In fact, he brought in a perspective that contrast hers despite wanting her to like him. I think that's a fun quality that would play out really well of writers decide to give a crab about Alex's love life for once. level 1 · 6 mo. agoClaire's all I got. I would be lost without her. I don't remember Jason. Who was he and which season? level 2 He’s the kid from the Cal Tech tour level 1 To be fair, she dates Arvin after graduating so they're just both scientists at that point. And it's actually really common for scientists to marry other scientists or other intellectuals. Jason lies because he's nervous and she lies to him out of nervousness too. You forgot Bill. Plus, is it really any worse than Haley's dating? Haley basically has equivalents to all of these. Like Rainer, who is something like 22 years older than her whereas Ben is only like 5 years older than Alex. Haley also cheats on Arvin, like how Sanjay cheats on Alex. Etc. They all have crazy dating lives. level 1
Bill and Alex should have been endgame- Alex deserved better than Haley’s leftovers level 1 not to mention, they never let alex be “sexy.” like, there was so much potential to affirm that alex is a grown woman who is attractive, but no. all we got was “i’m dating a firefighter, im having sex hotter than—“, or that one episode where alex & gloria go shopping for lingerie. because despite all these sexual/romantic relationships, they ensured that she would always be the “geeky/undesirable” alex she was when she was a CHILD! level 2 There's also the episode where she's dressed in expensive, flattering clothes with her hair and makeup done and Haley flat out tells her that she got hot. level 1 I hated that Alex got together with Arvin. We all have crushes on professors but sleeping with them, even if it’s after graduation, seems very icky to me. If they had to make Alex stick to the nerd loves nerd stereotype, they could have paired her up with Sanjay Patel or that guy she dorked over at the CalTech campus tour. But I didn’t mind that Alex had a bad love life, at least her career was flying. Not like Haley who was basically the same as she was in S1- ditzy, no prospects, with a dumb jock for partner. level 1 Can you do one for Haley please level 1 jimmy and alex were super cute😭they should’ve been canon or her and sanjay level 1 I think she ended up with Dr. Arvin. They clearly like each other. They share common interests. And they are working together in Switzerland. That would be romantic. level 1 Ben's reason doesn't seem very valid to me. Alex was 21 when she started dating Ben and he was 26. That's not a large age difference at all. level 2 i know i just wanted to keep the theme hahahha Who does Alex in Modern Family end up with?Arvin is a two-time Vanderscoff Grant winner, one for philosophy and one for geometry. In the series finale, he and Alex are in a relationship.
