Final fantasy XV cutscenes low fps

just did some testing and turning the GPU's vsync to adaptive is the move. It runs flawless now and the end cutscenes are crystal clear.

This post deserves a medal. This post with one comment fixed the issue that threads with 3 pages couldn't fix because they are full of poisonous people blaming the person instead of the game. Yeah, I disabled in game VSYNC and set my GPU to adaptive VSYNC and instantly the cutscenes are fixed. Obviously SE is terrible at optimizing games for PC. This isn't their first mistake in the performance of their games and it certainly won't be their last.

Thank you OP. I almost refunded this game because of this, but now I can actually play it.

Yes, thats 03 fps, its a literal slide show, then its time to start pushing the car and back up to 60 fps, what do I do? this is killing it for me.

Might help if people know what hardware you're running. There's an obvious issue with drivers or something because other people have posted the same thing.

I have the newest drivers. I have a GTX 970 and a higher end i5. A 2tb SSD and 18 gigs of RAM.
Benchmark gave me high scores and ran perfectly. The tutrorial ran at 60fps with most settngs maxed, and the initial scene with ifrit ran flawlessly as well as all cutscenes in between. The second we get to the open road the cutscenes are 3-4fps. When it gets to the car pushing gameplay it goes right back up to 60fps. Help please :(

I'm good at cutscene 60fps 3840x2160, average 45fps at gameplay i got..to me this game very optimize hehehe

Any advice turn on VXAO and luminance ? its grey..is it i'm at 388.31 driver ?

I have the same problem running a GTX 980Ti and an i7 7700K. I've heard you can fix it by turning off VSync (just keep the framerate cap at 60). I haven't tried it yet though since I am away from that computer.

Im run the Cutscenes at 60 FPS as well, the problem is they are not smooth. The audio is not in sync and there are micro stutters constantly throughout them. Especially the last 2 .

VXAO and Luminance are disabled in the demo, though I'm sure there will be a way to force them on through config editing just like in the benchmark.

Ya idk what to do. Turned off vsync and it isnt 3fps anymore, but they are like 20fps and super bad looking, plus all the cutscene audio is out of sync, then the gameplay starts and fps is perfect but I need to turn vsync back on for screen tearing.

I have a feeling it's something to do with either NVidia's tech or one of the post-processing effects not working properly. A lot of people seem to have this issue and not just on older hardware. It sounds like it will just need to be patched.

I'm getting this exact same issue.
Newest nvidia drivers on Windows 10

i7 8700k
16GB 3200 Ram
Asus Strix 980 ti SLI

I really wanted to lock my settings down so im not messing with stuff at launch, but its looking like I wont even be able to work with a functioning product untill then (hopefully then, that is)

the vsync in this game is broken i experiencing 3fps on cutscene and stuttering but when i turned it off and turn on the vsync and triple buffering on nvidia control panel instead my problem is solved.

gtx 970, i7-4790k, 16gb ram, on hdd and runs fine. Have everything on average to high and get 70+ fps in-game/cutscenes and 120fps for movie cutscenes. With v-sync on and off still no issues.

Maybe try reinstalling it or possibly mess around with settings. The only problem I experience is the audio gets distorted when using surround sound headphones. Changing television to home theater does nothing.

Just tested... did not fix :(

navigate to your install folder and look for a folder called config. inside open GraphicsConfig_Demo.ini. Check to make sure that the settings there are all what they are supposed to be. Some people where having some funky numbers that where causing issues
