They're twin rappers from Florida who have recently released their first official music video. Here's everything you need to know. Who are the Island Boys and why are they famous? The Island Boys are fraternal twins from South Florida who went viral for a song they made up in a freestyle together in a swimming pool on TikTok. The song goes: "Cause I'm an island boy, and I've been trying to make it / Oh, I'm an island boy / Ayy, I'ma just island boy, I'ma just island boy," which is where their nickname has come from. Online, their names are Kodiyakredd and Flyysoulja, but they've actually got pretty normal real names. Kodiyakredd's real name is Franky and Flyysoulja's is Alex. The boys explained that they have Cuban heritage, which is what their song has been inspired by. The boys have released several tracks on their YouTube channel 'Big Bag Ent,' which has more than 84,000 subscribers at the time of this article's publication. That's an increase of over 50,000 subscribers since November 2021, when they first started gaining traction on social media. Franky and Alex have got a bit of a troubled past and admitted to repeatedly getting in trouble with the police growing up. They were raised by their single mother after their father died in 2005, but they were kicked out at 18 because their mum got fed up with the police knocking on the door. The twins said they didn't know what they wanted to be growing up, only that they planned on being rich and famous. Island Boys Key Facts
