I have purchased Pigs in Blankets from Tesco for several Christmas seasons and never had a problem, but these are tiny in size. - the smallest ones I have every seen. Once cooked/shrunk somewhat, I imagine they'll be about the size of my thumb nail. Way too small in my opinion.

Pork (67%), Water, Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Pork Rind, Pork Fat, Salt, Stabilisers (Tetrasodium Diphosphate, Disodium Diphosphate), Ginger, Mace, Nutmeg, White Pepper, Preservatives (Sodium Metabisulphite, Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite), Yeast Extract, Flavouring, Antioxidants (Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Ascorbate). Sausage filled into non-UK beef casing.

Distressingly salty.. I cooked roast lamb for us and our friends and not one person could eat the pigs in blankets... We spent the next few hours being able to taste nothing but salt after eating one... My husky polished off the left over lamb but even he took one sniff and one lick at the pigs in blankets and didnt want to know and even he spent the next hour walking around with his tongue flicking in and out faster than a fitting snake.. Absolutely Awful.. Save some money and buy some table salt and eat a spoon of that... The taste will be the same...

Pigs in Shawls!

2 stars

A Tesco Customer5th January 2021

A pig in a blanket should have bacon wrapped all around it. These were more "pig in a shawl". The pieces of bacon were barely long enough to wrap around once. Half of the ones in the two packs I bought the bacon had fallen off anyway so all I was doing was roasting cocktail sausages next to short pieces of bacon. These were the most disappointing item on my Christmas table this year.

We have these every year, they are the nicest shop bought combos you can get and they're ready cooked for minimum fuss. We normally freeze a few packs as they tend to sell out closer to Christmas day.

Wow absolutely love these best I've had in years buy them every Xmas and then stock up on them when they on offer 3 for 2 etc I see the price has gone up again tho this time.last year was 2.50 per pack now 3 quid I don't think I will buying these now unless on offer too pricey iv 7 if us to feed and 10 pigs just ain't enough so that's 2 packs 6 quid bit too much for me

Finest?? Worst more like.

Awful! This was the first time I've bought "assembled" Pigs in Blankets but when I placed my order this was the only choice. I wrongly assumed the "Finest" would be nice. The quality was cheap and nasty with an unpleasant taste. I'll never buy these again.

Bought for Christmas but very disappointing. Poor flavoured sausages and so little bacon that it came off during cooking.

These were fatty and cheap, definitely not finest quality. I wouldn't buy again.

Perfect in the air fryer

Thought these were pretty good. Had them for our Christmas dinner and they went down well. I’ve seen the reviews about it being fatty - can’t comment as I cooked these in the air fryer so all the fat had come out in cooking and then were really crispy.
