Instructions

Fleas and ticks can be present all year around, even in colder climates, and can lay dormant for several months before hatching. PetArmor® and the Companion Animal Parasite Council recommend treating your cat each month throughout the year to help prevent flea and tick infestations. Used a directed, PetArmor® Plus can stop infestations and help prevent reinfestation.

How to Apply

Applying PetArmor® Plus flea and tick protection at home is easy. Just follow these steps each time you use the product.

Before You Apply

Applying correctly starts with purchasing the correct product. Before purchasing, weigh your cat. Don't guess! It is important to know your cat’s exact weight. PetArmor® Plus for Cats is available in one weight break for cats and kittens weighing 1.5 pounds and over. DO NOT attempt to split doses between cats.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON DOGS. Be sure to choose cat products for cats and dog products for dogs. These products are different formulations based on the species and your pet’s weight and SHOULD NEVER be used interchangeably. PetArmor® Plus for Dogs is available to protect your dog.

Don't forget to consider your cat's age. ONLY use PetArmor® Plus for Cats on cats and kittens over 8 weeks of age.

Applying the Product

1. Remove product tubes from the package.
2. Separate one tube from the others.
3. Hold the tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body. Use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line.
4. While holding the cat with one hand, use the other hand to apply the solution. Invert the tube and use the narrow end to part the cat's hair.
5. Apply contents of one tube as a spot between the shoulder blades.
6. Hold the cat for a few seconds to give the solution time to be absorbed into the cat’s coat.
7. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.

Keep treated pets apart from each other, other pets and children for 24 hours after treatment and until the product is dry. This helps prevent pets from ingesting the topical by licking or grooming one another.
