I enjoy my vehicle. It is great on gas and very fuel efficient. I haven't had any problems with the vehicle since I have gotten it. Vehicle rides smooth and handles inclement weather well. The reasons I love my Chevy Malibu is because it fits my family very nice. Also I love the style and look. My black exterior and interior really make this car look slick. It gets very good gas mileage and is very smooth on the interstate, it definitely gets me to where I am going.

Plagued with problems

Where to start? I bought this car as a CPO with 26,000 miles. Now has 42,000 and of course no warranty any longer. Cruise control: when disengaging the cruise using the steering wheel controls the car will sometimes downshift two gears causing the rpms to spike until the car finally upshifts. Sunroof: sometimes will not close above 65/70 mph, will start to close and then open back up. Dealer solution: don’t drive over 65... Climate controls: sometimes the fan won’t come on. Nothing. The only thing that seems to correct it is to flick the knob on and off as fast as you can until it eventually works. Road noise: car is noisy, probably due to it having no insulation in the rear and the empty holes in the rear deck where speakers normally would be. I added matting and it helped a little. Backup camera: sometimes won’t shut off when going forward, will stay on for a couple feet to a couple hundred. Paint: bubbles at fuel door area. Bluetooth: sometimes after you end a call the screen puts up and stays up the “transfer call” tab until you disconnect the Bluetooth on your phone. Radio: screen will occasionally lock up. Steering wheel controls won’t work either. This may last a few seconds to a few mins, more than once it took restarting the car to get the radio to work again. Fuel mileage: 27mpg on trips is the best I can accomplish. Alternator was replaced at 40,000 miles along with the auto start battery in the trunk. Car started making a single click noise when applying the brakes today, sounds like an a-arm bushing already. Now that cooler weather is back I now get to deal with the irritating “Ice Possible” warning at 39 degrees... I hate this car! I currently own four GM vehicles and this will be the last one I purchase, poor quality!

Do not Buy it. If you do, you will be very disappointed.

The car mileage is terrible. The form fit and finish is very poor. The dealer experience is lacking and disappointing.

The size of the car is great. I can fit so many things inside.

It has great gas mileage. I drive across the whole state of SD on one tank of gas which is amazing. It does have some engine problems and problems with the brakes. The snow and this car do not get along. It is horrendous in snow and ice. I cannot get anywhere and do not even try to when there’s snow on the roads.

Transmission issues at short mileage, not a reliable car.

Not very reliable, I have had several sensor issues and the transmission went out at 96,000 miles. It is good on gas but that is about it. Not very dependable car at all. It is a shame a car has that many miles and you have problems. Chevrolet cars are not built to last.

It is a great vehicle, the Bluetooth connects to smartphones.

The comfort of the car is amazing, there is not a lot of room. The performance has trouble, the transmission slips and sometimes there’s engine trouble. The battery is hard to locate at stores. It has Bluetooth and other cool technology gadgets. I really love that I can see the tire air pressure. It is also got great gas mileage my battery lasted 5 years.

I've owned this car since it was a year old.I really liked it at first, then I realized how cheaply made it is.Oarts fall off rather easily.The ground effect scrapes off everything due to being so low. It dragged going into my driveway and tore the tire well off as well as the front bumper. Cost 2000 to repair. Car is not roomy and sits way to low. I only have 40,000 miles and car is already rusting. Will not be buying another Chevy Malibu.

The Chevy Malibu is a very nice car, I have had 2 years and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I do believe that it is a good car for a family. There is plenty of room in the back seat, as well as plenty of room in the trunk. It is a safe car, in my opinion. I have no problems with the vehicle.

Our vehicle has had a lot of electrical issues. Our vehicle has had a lot of problems with the abs, stabilitrak, rotors and brake pads. My vehicles tires are very big compared to the size of my car and they are very expensive. My car has a lot of features I don't need such as Wi-Fi. My vehicle has a lot of miles on it because we travel a lot for my wife's medical issues, so I would say it's pretty reliable for the amount of miles that's on the car. My vehicle is somewhat comfortable, but it's hard to get out of the back seats at time because the seats are low to the ground. I wish my vehicle had more space, the trunk is very small. My vehicle is only 5 years old and already has rust spots. My vehicle has a lot of plastic on the front bumper that has all chipped off because it sits so low to the ground. I find Chevys to be very unreliable.
