Is Busch Light Apple only seasonal?

Busch Light Apple is BACK.

However, there’s a catch…

Is Busch Light Apple only seasonal?

Originally launched in 2020, the fan favorite summertime beer was actually delivered by helicopter to fans in various remote locations around the country through the Apple Airdrop program in 2021.

A major milestone for the brand who have primarily kept to Busch Beer and Busch Light, it was a crisp and refreshing take on a flavored summer beer (it’s not a cider).

However, this will be the final season, as Busch Light will officially be retiring the label at the end of the season.

Starting now, Busch Light Apple will be available in 12-, 24- and 30-packs of 12oz cans, as well as single 16oz cans at participating retailers nationwide until they sell out.

Get ’em before they’re gone… this is your last chance.

As the Whiskey Riffers know, we kicked off 2022 with our Busch Beer launch.

These are the best Busch designs you will find anywhere (seriously, we’re not biased), and there are plenty more to come.

Since launching, they have quickly become some of our best-sellers at Whiskey Riff Shop, so it was time to highlight some of these head-turners.

Cheers.

Look, people are confused.

Busch Light Apple? Huh?

I’ve written about it a few times, and yes we’ve tasted it.

Here’s what I said:

They sent us a sample and some goodies last week. The beer arrived nearly boiling as it was 95 degrees out, so we had to impatiently wait for it to get to a reasonable drinking temp. Then, the sip. WTF am I drinking? Is it a beer? A cider?

Well, it’s a beer, with a apple flavor. It’s definitely not a cider, or sweet. Rather a light beer, with an apple finish. Weird, for sure, but I could see people digging this in the fall months.

Here was today’s reveal:

Is Busch Light Apple Being Discontinued in 2022? Busch Light Apple sated the people tongue for the first time in 2020. It hasn’t had the ability like the hard seltzer summer or other seasonal favorites like Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy. Still, Busch light apples were able to make their place in people’s hearts in a very short time. Besides the Busch Beer and Busch Light’s milestones, Busch launched this flavored summer beer. It came back in 2021, too, for a season where it was delivered by helicopter to various locations through the Apple Airdrop program. This seasonal beer will be back in 2022 for a season as a retirement return. Turns out the seasonal beer was just for a season only.

Your last chance to grab ‘Fan Favorite. “When we launched Busch’s first-ever flavor find last year with Busch Light Apple, we were thrilled by the overwhelming consumer reaction. We completely sold out in just weeks,” said Daniel Blake, Group VP, Budweiser & Value at Anheuser-Busch, “With hype continuing to grow around this year’s drop, we wanted to do something unforgettable that offered fans insider access like never before, and also give a few lucky fans a chance at the first batches of Apple just in time for the 4th of July.” The reaction and love were unbelievable for the company. The company will allow fans to grab their favorite before anyone else. This will be the final season remembered as a ‘Fan Favorite.’ One can find it in 12-, 24-, and 30-packs of 12-ounce cans. Single-serve 16-ounce cans are also available until the beer is discontinued.

There will not be another Busch Light Apple Airdrop

Is Busch Light Apple only seasonal?

The launch of Busch Light Apple in 2020 was unexpected, and the attention it gained was even more unforeseen. The love and attention for the flavored summer beer made the company run an Airdrop program in 2021. The limited edition of the summer beer was delivered by helicopter to various remote locations. Fans could grab a spot to see one of the very first cans of Busch Light Apple dropped via helicopter. All they needed to do was RT or comment on Busch’s social posts with #BuschLightAppleDrop and #Sweepstakes from June 21st through June 30th, 2021. Busch provided insider access to the nearest drop location to the selected individuals. Sadly, there will be no other airdrop program as the company will discontinue the Busch Light Apple after its final season.

Busch Light Apple came back just for a glimpse

Two years would be the shortest time in history for such a beloved product. 2020 was the debut year for Busch Light Apple, and in 2022, it will be retiring. Busch created, experimented, and marketed, retiring the product in just two years, that too seasonally only. Busch knows how marketing is done. The 2021 Airdrop Program made it more iconic. Looking at the journey of Busch Light Apple, it just seems like a glimpse. The moment is when fans have to say a final goodbye to it.

Will Busch Light Apple be permanent?

One of Busch's attempts to make a summertime favorite is coming to an end. A Busch Light Apple a day isn't possible, they're going away, as the saying goes. Busch Light has announced the seasonal return of Busch Light Apple, which it calls a "fan-favorite" beer.
