EDIT: GOT IT! I don't know if this helped, but I went into the mantle settings and made sure that “hold jump” was set and saved. Then went to the front of the garage next to the gas station in Sleepy Sound, mantled up above the front garage door to the ledge above, and held down the mantle button, and slowly moved back to fall, and I mantled back up - repeat as necessary.

I did it by finding a prop inside a building that was too close to the ceiling for me to get onto, but still a big enough gab for the game to allow me to mantle, then i just held down my mantle button.

TBH i did this on zero building on just one wall i just mantle back and fort by quickly flick my camera to behind me after mantling while holding spacebar

i can recommended metal fences behind the gas stations

That was the first thing I tried, but I couldn't get it to work. Couldn't do it fast enough.

I built a huge staircase out of walls and floors. Got it on my second try

I’m gonna try doing this in zero build by going into a building and just tearing down some walls & floors 😄

In zero build I just used the "X" shaped metal walls in logjam because you can mantle up them but then just fall back because you can't climb thru the X. Took me 5 seconds, ez pz

I got it near the port in Tilted jumping between 2 containers.

So okay this trips me out that I can do this but I can’t build? It seems my reflexes for building skill exist but I just can’t and then I’m seeing so many people on the sub say they struggle with this exact method yet I’m sure there’s a percentage of them that have extremely good build skills. I’m confused how mantling like this is difficult for anyone unless I’m missing something.

There's a bridge in the top left of the map where spider man mythics used to spawn. This bridge has a roof and you can do this with the rafters holding the roof up.

I used the back of an IO blimp. There are 5 bombs stacked on top of each other that you can mantle quickly

Great idea. I just did it in Team Rumble. I made a wall/ledge combo to basically make a 5 level staircase and just went up each level quickly

I tried that several times, but it never worked for me. IDK why. Different players need different setups, I guess.

Yeah I spent like 15 min trying to do this.

Literally any stand alone wall will work. Just mantle, turn around and mantle again. Five times. Easy peasy, friend.

The wat i did it was 3 walls ontop of each other, edit the middle one to have a left or right window, then mantle it. You cant go through but you can still mantle, so you can do it continuously.

HOW TO DO QUEST

A lot of people seem confused on what to do - all you need to to is place walls in a plus shape and mantle round them 5 times without touching the floor

How do you mantle 5 times in seconds?

The first and most manageable way to complete the Fortnite quest, "Mantle 5 times in 5 seconds," is by building a "plus sign" horizontally on the ground. This construction can be done by placing one wooden wall in Fortnite next to another, from one direction to another.

How do I turn the mantle off in fortnite?

To enable or disable any of these movement settings, press the Tab key to open the Creative inventory, click My Island, then click the Settings tab and scroll down until you locate Allow Mantling / Sprinting / Sliding / Shoulder Bashing. Here, you can toggle any of these settings On or Off.
