NBA 2k23 next gen vs current gen Reddit

Definitely not worth it, made a build got it to 94 overall and can’t even play it, after the recent patch I keep getting error code ce-34878-0 whenever I try and log into my player, this is beyond frustrating since I’ve already invested time into this build, 2k is scamming hard, don’t believe the hype

Do you guys think 2k23 will be the same on both next gen and current gen console I.e both consoles having the same park and gameplay and things like that.

No, and they're not exactly being secretive about it. Old gen and Current Gen (the PS5/Xbox Series X are now the current gens) versions have been different for a while now.

They finna build of what they did with PS5/XBOX S|X, obviously. And repackage 2K22 for everyone else, including PC gamers.

There’s 2 separate dev teams, one for current gen, one for next gen. I don’t think they will ever be the same because PS4s and Xbox Ones don’t have enough physical processing power to run the engine they are using on next gen. Just like on the transition from PS3 to PS4, 2K will probably keep copy and pasting the same game until current gen consoles get completely phased out

Doubt it. If you play wwe2k22 for next-gen and current-gen they’re both the same except 1 has better graphics and the other one doesn't but the models are still realistic. That basically proves that the devs for NBA2K are lazy and the devs for WWE2K actually try.

As far as the reviews I’ve read, I heard current gen is pretty solid. Of course there’s a huge difference graphics-wise as expected but from comments and reviews I’ve read, the gameplay is fantastic and better than the last two 2Ks 👍🏽 and it isn’t just a “roster update”

So I love the 2k games, I used to play them all the time, favorite mode being MyLeague/MyNBA. I just recently saw the video covering all the new changes and updates to the MyNBA game mode, and I have to say everything looks awesome. My original plan for this upcoming 2k was to buy current gen on the PC and to use mods to replicate the next gen graphics. But now with the addition of the eras in the game, I’m worried that current gen won’t give me the full experience with these eras. If current gen will offer that, though, that is my 1st option. What should I do?

I have Upgraded to a Xbox Series S with NBA2k23 next gen but my friends are still running current gen on Xbox one. When I installed current gen and opened it I got a profile corrupt error so I panicked and uninstalled.

Does anyone else think that 2k23 next gen is just full of sweats? I played 22 on current gen last year and actually won often with my friends and felt like we could beat anyone. This year I’m playing on next gen and every game feels like they’re sweating their balls off, and seems quite difficult to win consistently. Can anyone compare next to current?
