  • I love USC so much, honestly wouldn't want to go to any other school. All the opportunities offered here are amazing and have helped me with my classes. There are so many clubs/ organizations on campus that you can definitely find your group of people and make life long friends.

  • U of SC is amazing and there is so many great opportunities.

  • Highly social campus in the middle of the city, some areas are unsafe because of this. Police in the area seem to be more concerned with underage drinking than other crimes. Classes and professors are highly rated. Go Gamecocks!

  • Horrendous IT department. First 2 years of IT major is just busy work classes that consume far too much time to say youre resizing Excel columns and changing font colors.

  • USC is a great school for academic opportunity but also having fun.

  • USC USC USC! Great feeling of family. Absolutely love it.

  • Food is terrible, which is good that its the worst thing. Greek life could be better now that you can't go to five points. Pretty attractive school with some big egos in the way. Fun if you find your own niche, generic review.

  • UofSC has a great atmosphere! Everyone is nice and all the teachers are professional.

  • Come to this school, you won't regret it ever.

  • Love this school! Wouldn't change it for anything.

  • working full time and going back school is impossible here. its rare to be able to schedule classes after 3pm and professors dont give overrides when the courses that do work for you inevitably fill up. hate online class but they're the only ones that I can take most of the time. and all the depts meant to help students are run by clueless students

  • great school, love everything about it

  • Great school, definitely know where you are in Columbia and stick with friends. So much to do all the time and tons of school-sponsored events. Basically have to be in Greek Life to have fun with all of the bars closing and being 21+ now. I would not rather go to any other school and I am so happy that I chose the real USC.

  • Awesome professors and a amazing school.

  • Great campus and great location

  • Great School, couldn't have picked a better place!

  • love this school but hate being in the middle of the city. no parking whatsoever unless you buy a ridiculously expensive parking pass

  • Due to the small size, it is harder to make friends. If you are in early college, you are stuck with the same group of people. It wasn't too bad for me but I didn't end up with any friends really, either. Its okay overall.

  • Its close to home and low cost so I cant complain too much, but its small and theres not a lot of opportunities to make friends

  • It's an okay school it needs to be remodeled, the bathrooms in the science building are super old and the whole building together needs to be fixed up. The staff will answer what questions you have but they won't go above and beyond to help you. I only went here since Columbia didn't let me live off campus.

  • Eh. It could be *SO* much better. Administration doesn't even bother to listen to you most of the time you talk. Financial Aid kinda sucks. I had to suffer through my first semester because they refused to entertain the idea of me filing an appeal for my financial aid award. Deans crappy, they claim 1500 students but it seems like 400 at the most.

  • Overall loved this school. But keep yourself up to date on what's going on with your academics.. I was planning to transfer to Columbia Fall '20, however, advisors set me up for classes I never needed... Then I was told (by a professor) I'd be Columbia's problem. I talked to my new advisor at the new college... He got everything settled! Happy now!

  • I adore USC Sumter. Although some parts of the campus do need renovations, I love the campus and how it is all right there and each building is a one minute walk from one another. The faculty and staff are very welcoming and truly want to see you succeed.

  • Cheap if you wanna start at a University and then transfer to the big campus. Small cafe, nice library and computer lab, but the school is a little outdated. Parking is absolutely no problem. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN YOU NEED ASSISTANCE NO ONE WANTS TO HELP YOU! I only got problems solved when my DAD came to the campus in his Military Uniform!

  • The University of South Carolina at Sumter is one I would avoid altogether. The vast majority of professors are apathetic and care very little about their students. The campus classrooms are outdated and new desks (that aren't the wrap around desks) are practically impossible to find. The student body tends to be hostile and closed minded.

  • Overall I did not enjoy my time at the school. The only thing that keep me going was OSP. If you qualify to get in, DO IT! It's the easiest way to make friends, receive tutoring, and go to "improvement" workshops. Focusing more on the school itself, the professors and staff are amazing, the vibe of the school is not.

  • I enjoyed my time here. The comments left about not having higher courses are inaccurate. There are many, many higher level courses to take online. I got my whole degree here. Just make sure you watch what your advisers are doing because they will make mistakes sometimes. Ask questions and ask for other options if you hate a class you gotta have.

  • REALLY REALLY wish there were higher level classes here and another foreign language option. Classes are limited and sometimes your advisor sucks. Wish there were more opportunities for science degrees here.

  • Not the greatest school if you are not a science major.

  • Great place to start out at but remember it's still Sumter.

  • Great place to start off college if you want to save money! Professors here are nice and helpful when you need them.

  • Had to enroll as a true freshman as a necessity, not out of choice. Never thought I would end up liking this place, but I was wrong. The faculty is tremendous at what they do, and they truly enjoy teaching. This one-year pit stop propelled me to USC-Columbia and a 4-yr degree, so for that I have to say thank you, USC Sumter.

  • Great school!!! You will definitely learn here!!! You won't go wrong with selecting this school.

  • I loved being at this school. I graduated with a BA in 2012 and I have to say I had the best professors here and great student in my classes. The class sizes where small which allowed professors to give extra attention. The campus could use a little care and the parking lots as well.

  • I love the professors I have had for the most part. In the past year or so, I feel the school has started to have a lot of problems due to major budget cuts. Overall, it is a decent place to go to start your education

  • I really enjoyed my time at the USC Sumter campus. I recieved my BS in Bus.Adm. from USC Aiken through this campus. I liked that the class sizes are small and it is easier for the professors to focus on students individually. The campus is a good size, not too big, not too small. The library, computer lab, and OSP tutoring services were great.
