  • the only thing you gain from attending this school is depression. literally the worst staff I've ever seen. tried to meet with ANY advisor multiple times but outright ignored and told me they will not meet with me. do not care about you, overcharge you for everything, and are very careless with your information.

  • It is a good school that seems to be investing more into its future. There are tutoring resources available to help with harder classes and good career opportunities if you seek them. I had some good professors and bad. Put the time into studying and you should be fine.

  • Worst school ever. Hated every bit. The dean is horrible. They don't care about you or your future, they just want money. And if you are a science related major, STAY AWAY! They have old stuck up profs for each of the science classes, who dont know how to teach. They basically leave you on your own and then tell you to take other courses to help.

  • they lost my transcript when I first transferred. I go to financial aid and they send me to business center I go to business center they send me to financial aid back. no communication between departments at all. professors are horrible for the most part. head of departments are horrible too

  • UH wasn't near my top schools to attend once graduating college. But after attending for 2 years, my opinion has completely changed. Sports really bring life to the school. There are hundreds of clubs and there are exceptional professors on campus. There is plenty of opportunities here in terms of friends and future career options. GO COOGS!!!

  • This university doesn't get the respect is deserves but hopefully in the future will be equal to TAMU and UT. Fantastic professors, you can tell the faculty and staff care, lots of networking and career opportunities. The people are nice as can be. Good clean facilities, good food options. Just overall a wonderful school.

  • It's cheap, there's lots of chances to network and you're really close to the center of the city. Socially it's kinda sparse but not terrible, the study abroad is great if you take advantage of it.

  • Campus is fairly large, but it gets boring very quickly. Not a whole lot of low cost/free activities to do on campus either. Dining hall food is subpar.

  • So glad I went here! The honors college specifically has also been on of the formative parts of my development both intellectually and as a person!

  • Great campus. Is safe, just don't walk on the outskirts, there's a high crime rate. Very social campus, great opportunities to meet new people. Large classes for the most part your first few years. They are more one on one the further you go into your major.

  • Not exactly a commuter campus, but has a large population of older/off campus students like myself. Not much reason to stick around except for classes, and there are a handful of safety alerts every semester of robberies and a couple of assaults on/near campus. Has a lot of food options inside and out. Student experience can be a bit of a bummer

  • Great campus if you commute! I personally have joined orgs and they're the best! Only thing is you do have to be careful at night, I've gotten followed multiple times and police aren't really helpful.

  • I don't know what to do next. Campus is very boring

  • great school, be careful at night!!!!

  • Great campus with great diversity. There are plenty of opportunities on all aspects (food, careers, events, etc.) The internet may cut off while you're doing work. Security is not enough for where the school is located. Other than that the school is pretty good and I enjoy attending here.

  • The main problem is the parking. They charge so much for it. Also, the chemistry department is horrid and they need to fix their grading system and hire better professors. Since the campus is near downtown it doesn't feel extremely safe but there's always students walking around and you can always ask UH security to escort you
