The Open Range is proud to offer a unique firearms experience in the ability to hire and use select handguns, rifles and shotguns in our state of the art indoor firing range.Upon purchase of your preferred package you will be provided with initial safety instruction as well as training in the use of each particular firearm you will be shooting. All shooting is done under direct supervision of a qualified range operator and all firearms are secured in a way to ensure the safety all people involved in the range session. No firearms license or previous experience is required to use the public gallery however under Queensland legislation you must be a minimum of eleven years old to shoot on the range. All shooters will be supplied with complimentary hearing and eye protection and enclosed shoes must be worn by anyone entering the range. The Open Range also offers packages to suit larger groups such as birthday parties, corporate nights, bucks parties and more. The facility, which includes a licensed bar, lounge and restaurant caters to all rimfire rifles at 50m. It also has 25-50m pistol ranges and a 10m air rifle range. The range hosts a number of competitions throughout the week. It also caters to corporate and group bookings, such as scout groups, birthday parties and community activities. The 50m main range is available to the public and members. Unlicensed shooters are welcome to use the facility under the guidance of our experienced Range Officers/instructors. All visitors to the range will be inducted and given instruction on the safe handling and use of firearms. Loan firearms are available at the range.
