Johnson and Regional Representative, Kamryn Dixon welcome you to the Sensational South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's official website. The South Atlantic Region consists of over 160 Collegiate and Alumnae chapters located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Bermuda.

OUR SORORITY

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization. Over the years, a wide range of programs addressing education, health, and international development have evolved. In realizing its mission, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. provides an extensive array of public service initiatives through its Five-Point Program Thrust of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. 

STATE COORDINATORS

The South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. consists of chapters in Bermuda, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Each state is led by a State Coordinator and State Facilitator who assist chapters in implementing the sorority's

5 Point Programmatic Thrust.

Our collegiate chapters are providing innovative and exciting programs on their campuses and in the communities. 

The South Atlantic Region consists of 44 collegiate chapters with over 500 undergraduate members.

What GPA is required for AKA?

Completion of a baccalaureate degree, with at least a C+ cumulative average, or a graduate or professional degree (Ph. D., M.D., J.D., etc.) from an accredited college or university. C+ is equivalent to a 2.50 on a 4.0 scale if the school does not have a plus or minus on the grading scale.

How do you get invited to AKA grad chapter?

Utilize the Chapter Locator in About AKA to locate graduate chapters and contacts in or near your community. The Graduate Membership Intake Process (MIP) begins with a Letter of Invitation, signed by the graduate chapter president AND membership chairman on chapter stationery.
