Billing itself as a harem show set in a fantasy world, The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter may come off as a bit confusing tonally, considering the title of the anime. The series feels like it’s meant to be more eye candy for its audience than a more well-built and solid action/adventure series. It has an unoriginal basic plot with blandish characters, as expected in a generic fantasy-harem show. Synopsis: Hidden dungeons are a legendary place filled with rare items and monsters that even the mightiest adventurer can’t conquer. The story follows Noir Stardia, a poor noble son, who decided to become an adventure after losing his job due to a higher noble intervention. While exploring a dungeon, he meets the legendary adventurer Olivia Servant, trapped in the labyrinth. After speaking with Noir, Olivia grants her signature skills to Noir. Now Noir has the skill to create, edit, and bestow his skills to others at the cost of his life force. The anime feels super dated in aspects like action, and it falls flat in the adventure part. The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter is another of those anime muddled with mediocre writing, predictable plot, and other cliché stereotypes.
