When will The Walking Dead return to AMC for season 11, episode 17?  Is it new tonight?

When will The Walking Dead finally make its long-awaited comeback to TV screens with a new episode? This is a question that fans of the veteran series would like answered. The veteran zombie show made a comeback to AMC back in February (after a lengthy absence following its midseason finale in October 2021) but it has since taken another hiatus – and a long hiatus at that.

The show is currently in the midst of its eleventh and final season. No, The Walking Dead will not air a new episode on AMC tonight. The show’s eleventh season is in the midst of its second midseason hiatus (after part 2 concluded in April) and it will still be off-screen for a little longer.

The show’s final season is split into three installments of eight episodes each. With two of those segments having wrapped their run, there are just eight episodes of the series left.

However, the good news is that the wait for new episodes is almost over!

The Walking Dead season 11 will return to AMC on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Yes, that means that the legendary series will return in just one week!

With the third and final chapter for The Walking Dead season 11 premiering next week, we also now know that the series finale will air in November, closing out the original TWD series forever.
