Sam Jones III has departed Spike TV sitcom Blue Mountain State. Show TV Series Finale reports that he will not reprise his role as football player Craig Shilo in the forthcoming second season. Actress Gabrielle Dennis, who played Shilo's girlfriend Denise, has also apparently left the series. Jones previously played Pete Ross on Smallville until his character was axed in the third season. He later made a guest appearance in the seventh season episode 'Hero'. The actor is currently involved in a number of legal difficulties. In 2009, he was charged with drug possession and recently threatened to sue Vivid Entertainment boss Steve Hirsch to prevent the release of a sex tape filmed with Playboy playmate Karissa Shannon. So he transferred to Georgia Tech. Which is definitely not as good of a school as BMS. I already know Sam Jones(his actor) was arrested. But why would he leave a great school like BMS? No one was coming after him, no one was stopping him, it was his team. Other than Denise, he really had no reason to leave. And I know they had to write him out, just be aware.

Personal life[edit]In 2010, a sex tape leaked with his then model girlfriend Karissa Shannon. It was reported that pair initially tried to block the release of the sex tape,[2] for some time, but after striking a deal,[3] the tape was released on DVD by Vivid Entertainment called: Karissa Shannon Superstar.[4] In 2011, Jones and Shannon released a song entitled "Juice and Vodka"; once available on iTunes, currently available on TMZ[5][6] a part of the Kam3 album.[7] Legal issues[edit]Jones was convicted of conspiracy to possess illegal drugs with the intent to distribute. The incident was part of a DEA sting operation.[8] On December 16, 2010, Jones pleaded guilty to conspiracy and on June 22, 2011, Jones was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison and three years' probation. On December 6, 2011, Jones began serving his sentence at the Lompoc Correctional Complex in California. He was released on October 12, 2012 after serving 10 months. He has since returned to acting.
