Is fame, fortune and power more important than education? Beyonce doesn’t seem to think so, that’s why she was spotted with a laptop and book binder entering New York’s Alternative Education Complex known as the GED school.

Blue Ivy’s mom could receive her General Education Diploma. This diploma is an alternative to getting a regular high school diploma. However, it’s better to finish high school, as the G.E.D. is not as widely accepted as a regular diploma.

Beyonce didn’t attend college, but – because her parents split up – she went to two separate High Schools in Houston TX and graduated with a diploma.  First, she went to “High School for the Performing and Visual Arts” then graduated from “Alief Elsik High School.”  Also, the elementary schools she attended were “Parker Elementary School” and “St. Mary’s Elementary School.”  After high school, Beyonce went on to join the group Destiny’s Child and had no reason to attend a university.  Today, she’s a successful solo artist with 7 number one singles worldwide and 5 number one singles in the U.S.
