Synopsis

A middle-aged woman has what she believes is a great life. She's been married for 25 years, she is the book editor at a newspaper where her husband is the editor and they have a great family. That all comes to a screeching halt one day when her husband announces that he is leaving her for a younger woman. Not only that, but the younger woman is her assistant. Not only that, but he's taking the newspaper in "a new direction" and won't need her anymore. It's then that she finds out who her friends and the people who love her really are, and she gets a surprise when she runs into a man from her past.

  What a terrible film haha!  Christine Lahti‘s acting in this really bothered me for some reason that I can’t describe.  However, it gets an extra star from me because of a young Jon Bernthal‘s terrible haircut whilst playing “man in office”.

  The kind of title that negates the need to look up the plot summary. You know exactly what you’re going to get and how you’re going to get it, but with the right lead actor it can still feel fresh and entertaining. Christine Lahti is exactly that type of actor. She finds so much depth, humor, and pathos in this role, showing once again how she can elevate even the most predictable material.

  A smart, sensible lovely 40ish woman is left by her doofus of a husband for an insensitive, selfish but stacked younger chick and after some bumps in the road emerges happier and better off than she was before. Yes a lot of this is wish fulfillment fantasy but with a talent like Christine Lahti leading the way through lovely settings and a predictable but pleasant story it's a nice ride.

  The title was kind of a turn-off but I watched on Prime for Christine Lahti. I expected better acting/storyline and some real revenge.
