Pay it Forward (known as Quid pro Quo in the Western release of the original) is the 79th Mission in Yakuza, as well as the 13th substory in Yakuza Kiwami. Show Requirements[]Yakuza[]Unlocked in chapter 4. However, it cannot be completed until chapter 5, when West Park is first accessed. Furthermore, The Tough Guy must be completed in order to access the alleyway where the final objective is located. Yakuza Kiwami[]Unlocked in chapter 4. However, it cannot be completed until chapter 5, when West Park is unlocked. Plot[]As Kiryu passes by Public Park 3, he notices a drunk man sitting near a trash barrel, and he really wants another drink. He will offer Kiryu to share the drink, and as thanks he gives a Worn-out Coat, which is later given to a Homeless Man that is freezing near Pink St. North. He gives Kiryu a pair of glasses. The glasses are eventually given to a man near Asia, who can't see the next show because he lost his glasses. The man gives Kiryu the Super Strength Adhesive Tape, which is then given to the homeless man in West Park who is trying to fix his lodging. The homeless man recognizes the tape, and he says that he used to work for the company that produced it, although at the time it was just a dream. As thanks, he gives Kiryu a Silver Briefcase he found somewhere. Finally, in the backlot of Park Boulevard Alley, Kiryu finds a salaryman, who is apparently suicidal after losing a metal briefcase containing a very important prototype for his business. After Kiryu hands over the Silver Briefcase, the man says that this is the briefcase he had lost. He thanks Kiryu and rewards him with something valuable. Walkthrough[]Yakuza[]As explained in the plot summary, all Kiryu needs to do is trade the items gotten from the NPCs. However, it is very important to accept the drink of the drunk man at the beginning. If rejected, the mission cannot be completed. Thus it can be missable., depending on the player's actions. Before handing the Silver Briefcase to the final NPC, he will engage Kiryu in battle. After the battle, the Silver Briefcase will be finally given. In exchange, Kiryu will obtain a Tortoise Shell Plate, as well as 500 experience points. Yakuza Kiwami[]Unlike the original, rejecting the drink from the drunken man won't result in the mission being impossible to complete. Instead, it will just leave it for later. As such, the substory cannot be proceeded with until the drink is accepted. The final NPC does not fight Kiryu, and will reward him with the Swiss Watch right away.
