PULL TAB PROGRAM

Where to drop off can tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Before you get started we have to warn you, once you begin collecting pull tabs, you will never be able to toss one again!!! It’s the most rewarding habit you will ever have!

Brochure – Pull Tab

Why collect pull tabs?
Pull tabs are an easy way to recycle and help our families at the same time. Anyone in your family, school, business, church, or service club can join in. These small pieces of aluminum are a way for you to help us to provide a supportive home for families who have travelled to St. John’s with a sick or injured child.

Which pull tabs?
We will be happy to accept donations of aluminum tabs from beverage cans, fish and meat tins, soups, and cat and dog food tins.

Why collect and recycle pull tabs?
We also recycle beverage containers, however the tabs from your pop and other cans are a clean source of aluminum that take up much less space than an entire can, so are much easier to store, and add up to dollars for Our House. You may still recycle the entire aluminum can after you’ve saved the pull tab for Ronald McDonald House Charities® Newfoundland and Labrador. A Pull Tab Recycling program will not interfere with an existing beverage container recycling program.

Where does the money go?
The dollars raised from recycling pull tabs go directly to providing the programs and services for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities® Newfoundland and Labrador.

How do I collect and donate pull tabs?
All you have to do is pull ‘em and save ‘em! We now have containers that you can collect your tabs in as well. When you are ready, the pull tabs can be delivered to Ronald McDonald’s House or to another location near you. Please see list below. Contact for more details.
