December is almost here which means it’s time to start curling up under a blanket and settling in to watch some feel-good festive films.

Dr Suess’s the Grinch, in all of its forms, has become a firm fan favorite over the decades and it’s one that viewers always turn to, whether that’s the original 1966 animation, the Jim Carrey-starring version from 2000 or 2018’s adaptation which saw Benedict Cumberbatch take on the role.

But just where can fans watch each version of The Grinch in 2022? Here’s all you need to know.

Where to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)

The original 1966 animated film may only be 25 minutes long but it’s held a place in fans’ hearts for decades.

Here in the UK, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is available to buy and rent from as little as £3.49 on a host of digital stores such as Amazon Prime Video and Google Play via YouTube.

Over in the US, meanwhile, fans can still find the film digitally but it is also available on the Peacock streaming service which, for a Premium membership, is priced at $4.99 per month with ads and $9.99 without ads.

In both locations, the short film is also available in physical formats such as DVD and Blu-ray.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Jim Carrey’s turn as the Grinch will forever be remembered as one of his most iconic performances. This adaptation even scored itself an Oscar for Best Makeup.

In the US, the film is currently available on HBO Max, which can also be added to Hulu as an extra on top of any existing plan.

Here in the UK, meanwhile, How the Grinch Stole Christmas has been made available on both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Fans can also watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas digitally through a host of online stores including Amazon Prime Video, Google Play and Apple TV (£7.99 to buy in the UK and $3.99 to rent in the US) as well as on physical media.

The Grinch (2018)

Fresh from the success of the Despicable Me and Minions films, Illumination turned their attention to The Grinch in 2018 with Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the titular fiend.

In 2022, fans in the US can find the film streaming on Hulu with live TV and FXNOW for cable TV subscribers while the movie is also available to buy and rent digitally on a host of platforms including Google Play via YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and more from $3.99.

Over in the UK, however, the film is not available as part of any streaming subscription but it is available to buy and rent digitally from as little as £2.49.
