YouTube Vanced there was a problem with the server 400

Okay, I don't know what I did but Vanced is up and running now. Here's what I did:

I installed a previous version of Vanced from my older device by directly transferring the apk.

Then I installed the latest version of MicroG and only then did I install Vanced.

After this, I installed the Vanced Manager and updated Vanced from within the Manager.

I don't know how it worked but it did.

Youtube Vanced is an enhanced version of the original YouTube app. This is a third-party application that comes with certain features of YouTube Premium like ad-free viewing and video playing in the background for free.

Vanced gained a huge amount of popularity and a lot of people regularly watched YouTube on it. Even though Vanced is not available anymore due to a legal threat from Google, people with the current version of the app can still use them.

As people continually use the app, a major error known as “Error 400” is reportedly causing trouble to various users. Here are a few fixes for this error.

Restart the app or device

The first thing to try to fix this error is to just simply restart the app. Closing the app from the background completely and then starting it up again. If this doesn’t fix the issue, users can also try to restart their smartphones. Since Vanced is a third-party app, bugs related to RAM can happen which will be solved on a restart. If you still see error 400 after trying this, move on to the next step.

Uninstall and Reinstall the app

Check if your app is up-to-date, if not, first try to update the app itself. If this doesn’t work, try to completely remove the app from your system and reinstall it fresh. This will get rid of any extra memory space being taken up that could cause the error.

Check your internet connectivity

The most common reason for Error 400 to occur is issues with internet connectivity. Make sure your wifi/data connection is stable and isn’t getting cut out. You can also try restarting your router or reconnecting to the wifi on your phone and then rebooting the app.

Check your date and time settings

If all of the above things don’t get rid of the error, you can try checking your date and time setting. For this, go to your ‘Settings’, scroll down and click on ‘System’. Here, you will see the ‘Date and Time’ option. Here, make sure your date and time calculation is automatic and is according to the network of your device. Once this is done, try to restart your app and see if the error is still there.

Disable VPN

VPN is usually used to mask your IP address and maintain the privacy or to access content that is blocked in your country, but VPN connection adds another layer of internet network and can sometimes lead to internet connectivity issue which leads to Error 400. If you’re getting this error rapidly, consider closing the VPN and restarting your app.

Clear Cache

For the last fix, if nothing else mentioned above works, users can try to clear the Vanced cache from the device. In order to do this, go to ‘Settings’ then click on ‘Apps’ and find ‘Vanced’ in the apps section. Next, click on ‘Storage’ and you’ll find an option to clear cache in it. Once done, close Vanced from background apps and relaunch it.
