Okay for a student's first amp for practicing. Outward appearances make tis little amp seem like a bargain. The reality is that is is very cheaply made with a cardboard speaker baffle. I disassembled the one I received when I heard a rattle and found two speaker screws were roaming around inside, they were stripped out from the cardboard.
Sound overall is somewhat flat and dull, but I finally found a setting that works, middle and treble on 7, bass on 4 and presence on 5. I have a Fishman preamp in my acoustic guitar and I keep that output turned low to avoid feedback, that allows me to get ok tones with decent volume.
I will donate this locally and continue my search for a good small acoustic amp.

I wanted something simple, small but enough sound to play my acoustic electric ukulele in front of a group of people. This one's perfect!

Needed a small, single channel practice amp. Gets surprisingly loud, breaks up at high volume. EQ is sensitive which is nice as playing it with 6 & 12 string & banjo in band situations. Plus: dig the look, finish looks super clean, grill cloth looks plush, and is super understated.

Does work with electric guitars, naturally.

I've been impressed with this little amp. The price was the biggest deciding factor in the purchase. ALL amps are ridiculously overpriced for what they do.

It sounds pretty good with an acoustic guitar which is strictly how it's used. My only complaint is that there is the slightest bit of overdrive with the lower notes.

It's dual speakers really put out. It's way louder than I need it to be. No complaints there.

This thing is great. At this price point, I had to wonder what was wrong the volume goes from 0-11 pretty fast. It mics up well if you need to. Great practice amp, and can be used at small gigs and rehearsals.

Nice simple amplifier. Nothing special but no fatal flaws when used as a practice amp.

I don't have much experience with amps, but this one seems to deliver as much or more than I expected. It looks very nice, seems solidly built, and has a large sound for such a small box. Very easy to carry and to use. Would recommend.

Nice little amp for clean acoustic sound. Fender also has a nice one (15w output) with a mic input for about $20 more, but since I don't sing, this is perfect for me. Looks nice, too.

Are Dean acoustics good?

Dean has a reputation for making excellent high-end guitars. But their less expensive models don't quite have the same reputation for excellence as their high-end guitars. So if you're looking for an entry-level instrument, you may want to try a different brand.

Are Dean Guitars good for beginners?

From beginners to the most influential artists in the world, our instruments are the #1 choice for guitarists around the globe. From beginner guitars, high-quality affordable import guitars, as well as the best USA built guitars in the biz. Dean Guitars makes a GUITAR THAT IS FOR YOU.

Who made Dean Markley amps?

According to my research, these amps were designed by a gentleman named Terry Laul, quite possibly with a small team of others, and were produced between 1983 or '84 through 1986. They were available in both 60- and 120-watt models.

Are Fishman Acoustic amps good?

The Fishman Loudbox series has been the top selling acoustic amplifiers for years, and for good reason. This is an amp for the big dogs that needs to make their acoustic as big and as loud as possible, while still keeping the amp luggable for regular gigging musicians.
