Although CodyCross may look like an intimidating crossword game to play on a mobile device, it isn't all that tough to play - once you know enough about it. This article will give you a breakdown of the game to get you up to speed to play it.

  1. 1

Open CodyCross. CodyCross's app looks like a crossword puzzle in purple and yellow colors, but it may look a bit different on different operating systems and over different seasons (spring, fall, Halloween, Christmas).

  2. 2

Wait for the screen to show Cody, the CodyCross martian mascot. You'll see flowers and other items around Cody, and during the holidays (or when there are special events), Cody may entice you to interact with him. In December 2021, CodyCross released a feature that made Cody tappable to get him to light up an animated figure in his hand.

  3. 3

Tap the orange, yellow, and off-white Play button. This button is near the bottom of the screen, just below Cody.

    • CodyCross may serve you a tutorial through the first few groups but can be turned on or off as you see fit in your Settings menu.

  4. 4

Collect what you are forced to collect through all the daily chests. The first daily chest will often give you power-ups, CodyCross tokens, and Bitz (tokens used in the CodyCross library), and you'll only be able to collect them - whether you want them or not!

    • It will provoke you if you've closed the app and the time has elapsed, or you are currently in a game and come out after the time elapses.

  5. 5

Tell CodyCross whether you want to collect bonus chests. You'll need to watch a video after tapping "Yes" on the additional chest dialog box. (If not, tap "No".) Once finished, tap the close button to the ad and wait for the dialog box to tell you it's ready for you to collect your bonuses.

    • You might not be asked to get bonuses the first time you open the game, if you haven't yet played the game. However, as of the next day, you should be asked to get these rewards.
    • Look for the timers on your main game screen. This timer will be shown as a treasure chest with purple edges in the top left corner of the screen. However, don't confuse this timer with the timer for your Daily Crossword and the Your Password games - both described below.

  1. 1

Tap the first group to solve - to learn about CodyCross groups. Groups contain sets of five puzzles to be solved. As you solve puzzles, you'll complete groups. You complete groups to move on to the next group

  2. 2

Learn about CodyCross' Worlds. Twenty groups make up a World. Your first World is called "Earth" as you'll see by the words inside the sunrise at the top of the screen. After you solve these twenty groups in the first world, you'll proceed to the next world - "Under the Sea", "Inventions", and tons more. New Worlds come out at a cycle of about one World per month.[1]

    • Scroll the World across the screen to view the entire picture, and watch as you complete Groups in this world to see the picture. As you scroll along with the World's picture, the top and bottom information bars will disappear and re-appear once you've taken your finger off the screen.
      • Tap the left and right edge's < and > buttons to cycle past and view upcoming World pictures. You'll find back and forward jump buttons at both sides of each world, but moving between worlds won't work until you complete the existing groups in that world. You'll be told you'll need to finish any existing puzzles in your current group to get into puzzles of that group in the different Worlds. However, viewing the pictures will still be available anytime.

  3. 3

Tap the group's number button furthest along the marked path. Strung together by white circular-dot pathways, puzzle group buttons are purple, oval buttons with orange rings that are positioned in the layer. Greyed-out buttons are disabled groups you won't be able to open until you've completed your current group of puzzles.

  4. 4

Learn about Treasure Chest Groups. At frequent intervals, you should come across special puzzle groups awarding CodyCross tokens, power-ups, and large amounts of CodyCross Library Bitz. Once you begin a Treasure Chest group, there will be a treasure chest progress bar at the bottom of the Group screen, designating how many of the puzzles from that group have been completely solved. You'll be forced to open and collect the goods after tapping the "See what's inside" after finishing these groups, and "Claim your prizes" after it's been opened.

  1. 1

Solve puzzles as you encounter them. Each group is made of five puzzles, each containing one progress bar to the left of the puzzle and a play button to its right. At first, they are shown as Puzzle 1, Puzzle 2, Puzzle 3, Puzzle 4, and Puzzle 5. As you solve and complete puzzles, they close and show the completed bonus word solution with a green checkmark to their left.

    • Partial progress or unsolved puzzles will result in the lock of other Groups in the World. In-progress bars will display beneath the play button for each puzzle, as they remain unsolved.
    • Moving backward into puzzles previously solved will trigger a fail-safe asking you whether you'd like to restart the puzzle or continue back to the puzzle group list to correct your mistake.

  2. 2

Play a puzzle. Tap the green and white play button to the right of a puzzle.

  3. 3

Look at the format of the screen.

    • At the top, you'll find a banner containing the button to change the appearance of your CodyCross icon and to collect additional tokens as Worlds are completed. Following this to their right, you'll spot the World sunrise banner and coin shop button.
    • Look through the puzzle area. The puzzle area contains the lines where clues awaiting answers are found. Puzzle lines contain the same amounts of characters from line to line, but puzzle letter amounts will differ from puzzle to puzzle.
    • Look for your power-ups and cheats, which are shown between your puzzle and clue lines. At first, you'll only have access to the first power-up: the single letter puzzle solver, but the further on into the game you get the more of the other power-up choices you'll get.
      • Although tokens unlock power-ups if you have no free power-ups left (at 1, 2, or 3 tokens apiece depending on the type of power-up wanted), you will likely be given tokens, and can be awarded more bonuses after each puzzle is completely solved and after watching the advertisement video, if you collect them.
    • Look for your clues on the next line. Clues are shown on a purple bar in white text. But at either end of the bar, you'll spot < and > buttons to advance between clues for different lines stepping up and down the puzzle lines' incomplete lines. (Tapping a completed line is the only way to review completed lines.)
    • Learn about the CodyCross keyboard. The CodyCross keyboard appears below the clue line. Keys appear with a purple background and always show white-texted all-cap letters with a backspace button as the right bottom-most button. CodyCross uses its app-only keyboard because characters are only alphabetic and CodyCross wants to simplify the use of special keyboards, CodyCross forces its users to use the CodyCross keyboard only.

  4. 4

Learn about the different colors of the lines on the puzzle. While most of the word is off-white/peach-colored, some special blocks are colored purple which are connected and reflect the World's name as phrases about the World.

  5. 5

Learn about text colors as clues are filled in. Grey is incorrectly-filled lines. Black is a completely correct solution. As lines complete, strobes appear as the grey text turns black and pulls letters from that answer into other unsolved rows in random patterns throughout the puzzle.

    • If you don't touch your settings and they disappear, the letters aren't correct and they'll auto-erase. However, you can turn auto-erase off in your CodyCross settings.

  6. 6

Solve lines of the puzzle using CodyCross' onscreen keyboard. Audible chimes tell you as you fill in letters of the answer, and as answers are correctly answered or when you backspace through text. A pleasant chime will sound as you complete a line.

    • Very few ties between the puzzle and World's name will exist, so if you encounter one, be thankful and solve them quickly.

  7. 7

Watch out for clues to how CodyCross wants the word answered.

    • Watch for single/pluralized used clues (designating single/plural word solutions).
    • Watch for gerund use, because suffixes in the clue often designate the suffixes used in the answer.
    • Spot how clues fit together; you might receive names and you'll have to find out what they all have in common, fitting them together to form your answer.
    • Traditionalists fill them in as they work their way down the puzzle. Others skip lines as they work their way and return to the unfinished ones later, giving them their best guess.

  8. 8

Watch for the phrase splitting marking feature. Because CodyCross most often uses word phrases, if the line consists of two or more words, a set of up and down arrows point to the location of the end of one word and where the next word begins.[2]

  9. 9

Learn about the special bonus (purple) line. Your special purple drop-down line is a special set of words that will connect the lines of your puzzle back to the World. These items can be pretty anything from nouns to verbs to people to ideas to adjectives...to pretty much anything!

    • If you want to try and solve this word or phrase first (after receiving some of its letters, double-tap any of the purple spots on the drop-down line and fill in the remainder of the spots.

  10. 10

Learn what other CodyCross power-ups do. CodyCross contains four types of power-ups/cheats as you progress.

    • The first one you'll get from the get-go is the Single Letter power-up. If you drag and drop the cheat, it'll reveal each letter individually as you move them onto the puzzle blocks. Drop them when the letter block turns a bright yellow. Each letter reveals (if you don't have bonus power-ups) are 1 token per letter.[3]
    • The second one you'll get is a Random Reveal power-up. CodyCross will reveal random letters on several lines, however, uses two tokens if you don't have bonus power-ups available.[4]
    • The third one is a Letter Simplifier power-up. CodyCross will disable unused characters for the clue line you select when you drag and drop them onto the line you'd like to solve, but takes two tokens if you don't have any bonuses of them available. [5]
    • The last one is a Full-Line Solver power-up. It'll take three tokens (if you don't have bonus power-ups), but will complete the line in one go if you can't complete it yourself.[6]

  11. 11

Learn what you'll receive, if you have no additional tokens and no bonus power-ups available to be used. In this stage, you'll receive a dialog box saying that "You've spent all your tokens" and asking you to "Get More Tokens" then reminds you of another way to get tokens - by inviting friends by tapping "Invite" and using the integrated sharing feature of the device to send the game to others who might be willing to sign up to play the game using your code.

  12. 12

Watch the puzzle, as the puzzle helps populate random other letters to help you solve the rest of the board. As you solve lines, your CodyCross will copy letters from the current line into other spots on other lines. The letters it uses are based on the words you are to completely solve, and while it may populate a few - sometimes it won't populate any letters at all. (Towards the end, some lines may not populate any at all.)

  13. 13

Watch the special glimmer as the puzzle completes. The board will glimmer except for the pink World bonus phrase column which will brighten and animate to show you the full completed board.

  14. 14

Learn about the format of the puzzle's finale screen.

    • On the puzzle end screen, you'll see a bonus bar begin to fill for the Library. Once it reaches the end, it awards 150 bonus Bitz (for Library book purchases), and the number of puzzles it takes to complete changes as you work your way from Library level to Library level.
    • Another area to its right is the purple bonus word/phrase which is seen. It does nothing if you tap it, but is viewable.
    • To that's right, you'll see a way to get bonus power-ups by watching an advertisement video, closing the video after thirty seconds, and clicking "Collect." If you want to collect these points, only tap the button before tapping the next mentioned button that will lose your opportunity to collect these power-ups.
      • Get as many of these power-ups as possible, as they are less common later in the game.
    • There's a Continue button which will be necessary to move on, but if you want to review its answers again, you will need to complete the next "rating" section below it.
    • Finally, below that, you'll see the rating screen for the only clue-answer pair with two choices "Fun" and "Boring," although it's never stated how to determine what each button means and which to choose and is left up to you to decide how you feel about the clues it gives you to rate.
    • As you rate puzzle clue solutions, different buttons will appear below the Continue button.
      • To review puzzles (with the "View Puzzle" button) or to share your accomplishments (with the "Share" button), there are buttons there.
    • For the Daily Crossword, these options will more or less change names, and there are fewer buttons - to just Continue and "View Puzzle."
    • Review the puzzle if you'd like. Tap "View Puzzle" (green button on the next line) and wander around the puzzle. Tap the line that's been solved to see your original clue below the line containing your cheats, and tap "Continue" once you are done.
    • Tap "Share" to share that you've solved the puzzle. Use your phone's sharing feature to share your accomplishments.

  15. 15

Continue to other puzzles. Tap the Continue button to continue to your other puzzles, from your end-puzzle screen.

    • If you've rated, you'll see two buttons, with the Continue button at the top. If you haven't yet rated, you'll only see the Continue button and the option to rate the clue.

  16. 16

Continue to the next World. Once you complete all five puzzles of all twenty puzzle groups, you'll be told you complete the World by the small in-app notification saying the name of the world and that you've "Completed the World" as well as a reminder to pick up your coins in the right-hand side of the notification. Then, you'll be given the option to either "Share" this accomplishment using your device-specific Share feature, or tap "Continue" to watch Cody progress in his spaceship to the next World waiting to be solved.

    • Learn the additional buttons to click if you run out of Worlds to complete. For completed Worlds, Cody will thank you for helping him discover many places, and remind you that there are more puzzles coming soon to which you'll tap "Cool" then remind you about news updates in the events section, missions, crosswords, and passwords then you'll need to tap "Continue".

  1. 1

Learn about the ads. If you head into a puzzle and haven't bought a coin pack to save yourself from aggravation, you'll more likely be shown ads in-between puzzle solves.

  2. 2

Pick up some great prizes along the way.

    • CodyCross tokens allow you to utilize power-ups, and special person icons (from the top left corner) allow you to change your CodyCross profile picture. You'll start with a CodyCross default picture (unless you began your account with Facebook in case you'll have two pictures) and you'll pick up new profile pictures once per World - someplace in that World.
    • You can collect 30 CodyCross coins for each world you complete. Just tap your profile picture from the World screen and find that world in the very long list. Tap the "Claim Prize" button. This will award you ten CodyCross coins which will be sent to your account for use upon claiming these prizes.
      • More coins can be awarded by completing other tasks such as completing your first, first ten, first fifty, first 150, and first 500 puzzles (at varying levels of tokens from 10 to 50) getting to level 20 of the Library (can be tough for newcomers).

  3. 3

Claim new profile pictures as they are unlocked. Tap the "Use" button. If you'd rather not use the new one, tap "Not Now" to ignore the profile picture, but it will remain unlocked in your profile and ready for you to use at another time.

  4. 4

Learn about the rest of the Social tab. You can invite your friends via the Social tab - to try out CodyCross. Just tap the "Invite" button. For every friend who joins, you'll receive 20 tokens. Send CodyCross to as many friends as you can and see who joins using your code to try it out.

    • Also find links to join the CodyCross game's following page on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • TikTok also has videos about CodyCross made by TikTok users, but CodyCross nor Fanatee doesn't have an account. You can search for the hashtag #codycross to find these videos.

  5. 5

Understand the way CodyCross makes money. Utilize the Token Shop to buy tokens to use in either a pack of 40 for $3.99 or a pack of 30 of one power-up, 15 of another power-up, and 5 of a third power-up - all for $7.99.

    • A pack of 20 tokens is $1.99, 56 tokens and a month of ad-free game-play is $4.99, 120 tokens and 3 months of ad-free gameplay is $9.99, 320 tokens and 6 months of ad-free gameplay is $24.99, or 750 tokens and 1-year ad-free gameplay is $49.99!

  6. 6

Find out how you can get free tokens from the Token Shop. Underneath "Get Tokens", you can receive free tokens(after watching an ad), or get token packs for various prices.

  7. 7

Look for other opportunities as you skim down the Token Shop. Liking the CodyCross Facebook page gives you free tokens, and they give you reminders to invite friends for twenty tokens.

    • . On an iPhone, you'll be given options to pay with ApplePay or a credit card attached to your Apple ID. Android phones will have different payment options set as default - depending on your device.

  1. 1

Learn about other game modes - with Missions. Missions are available within the Events (party balloons) tab. Within this, you'll find several types of Missions you can complete.

    • These events expire after a short time. You need to keep energy or begin "buying" additional puzzles by watching ads or using CodyCross tokens. However, after set times, your energy will refresh so you can finish the event. Tap the double hash (>>) button to open the feature from the Events tab, then you'll see a feature looking like another world set on a series of islands.

  2. 2

Try out each Mission type - including Expeditions, Voyages, Secret Trails, and Mini Quests.

    • Expeditions give books for your CodyCross Library for solving traditional CodyCross puzzles with bonus phrases in the bonus format.
    • Voyages give you free treasure chests to open. These can lead to regular crosswords or CodyCross puzzles, so this depends on the creator's opinion, but is one puzzle per "level" in the tree of puzzles.
    • Mini Quests - which are sometimes available, feature smaller sets of puzzles, but the prize can be random.
    • Try the Secret Trails feature. The mission known as Secret Trails is much tougher than all their predecessors because they don't use traditional methods for solving, and are uncharacteristic of CodyCross to complete. Utilizing legacy CodyCross puzzle formats with words being the same amount of letters, different spots correspond to special letters which fill in for the bonus word. You fill each space in one row and these letters fill in for those exact special characters among the puzzle - but not all spots have the graphics.
    • But it gets tougher, because if you even miss the board's solution by even one letter, the puzzle tells you that you are wrong but doesn't say where you went awry! Solving correct lines leads to completing the puzzle and the "bonus word" relates to the Secret Trails puzzle theme title.

  3. 3

Try out a Themed Pack. You solve these based on traditional CodyCross puzzle techniques. There are twenty puzzles to each pack in random themes. The first puzzle is often token-free, with subsequent puzzles costing two tokens to complete. There is no prize for solving all of these puzzles, with the general feeling of completeness coming from solving them all.

    • Themed packs are no longer being released. But if you have themed packs available, you are still able to complete them. When these are done, you will not be given new choices because this feature is being redone.

  4. 4

Try out the Clue Scanner. Although that is the "Magnifying Glass" icon on the World Page that lots speak about, this medium-toughness tool allows you to give feedback on upcoming new words for Fanatee. Select the tool from your World page (over on the right-hand side), then when it dialog-boxes you to begin (saying "Let's Do This" in all-caps), tap that button. Fill in words based on the clues - singly - using the standard CodyCross screen setup. You may reveal the entire word or phrase using the all-caps "Reveal" button below the clue. Rate them between Boring and Fun - or to report the clue - tap "Do not approve" and explain why this clue shouldn't be used in an upcoming level or Daily Crossword. There are ten of those clues. (Wrong answers will clear, regardless of your game options.) When you are all done rating all those clues, you'll get thanked in a dialog box "Thanks for helping out! Please come back soon for more clue rating fun." and you'll only have a Close button to finish.

    • Clue Scanner doesn't always have clues to rate. It updates every few hours with new clues to rate so everybody has a fair chance to rate upcoming clues.

  5. 5

Create a Secret Message for a friend to play, or play secret messages from a friend who also has CodyCross. Secret Messages can be created in-app, yet if you receive one from someone else, can be played by tapping the link at their receiving location on your device. (Most will come across via text message or some other sending location, but this is up to you.) The game is based on bonus words or phrases the sender has sent to the recipient player to play and is based on clues created by Fanatee and which gives out no bonuses for solving these.

    • Sometimes, your tutorial may replay over the Secret Message puzzle, even if you've seen it before.
    • Create other puzzles by clicking the Social button, then tap the Create button inside the "Secret Message" section. Create your message, then press Continue. Then when you've decided it's the correct phrase and grammar, tap the Share button and share the game with a friend and make sure the link to the game is included.
      • If you use Facebook Messenger on your device, your friend will only get part of the message as the link won't work for them. But make sure the link is included in the link you share with them.
    • CodyCross/Fanatee hopes that the personal games will get the "new player" interested and willing to learn more about the game - but bases the game on CodyCross's main game.

  1. 1

Try out CodyCross's Daily Crosswords. Although you can also find traditional crosswords to solve in the Play Now button from the World page, just underneath the section for your Missions in the Event tab you'll find two buttons for two puzzles - a small size puzzle and a midsize puzzle. There's no bonus phrase nor World that the clues pertain to, but being these are based on classic crossword solving of varying sizes, means most will be easy to solve. New daily crosswords are released at midnight your local time, regardless of when you last solved a puzzle or two originally.

    • If you've solved the puzzles and see the crossword button on the world page show a counting down timer, this timer just represents the time until the next crosswords are released. If you solve one puzzle and not the other (or just parts of the puzzles not to completion), this button will continue to plead "Play Now," until you complete at least one of the crosswords to completion every day.
    • Daily Crosswords only allow you to use the single letter and random-letters power-ups. The other two power-ups aren't shown for use.

  2. 2

Understand that CodyCross has archives of all their past Daily Crossword puzzles inside the Archive button just under the crosswords on the Event tab - even dating back to dates when they began this feature in March 2021! Archived crosswords either want two CodyCross tokens or you can watch an advertisement.

    • Solving Archived puzzles won't help you continue a lost streak or extend the streak to older dates. However, they do help in recognizing clues and solving clues in a potential knowledge database for duplicate clues at a future time.

  3. 3

Understand how Daily Streaks work. If you solve one puzzle each day without missing a day, you will keep your Daily Streak going. If you solve only one of the two puzzles, your streak will continue. However, if you miss solving a complete crossword and come back the following day to solve another, you will be prompted to keep the streak going by watching a video ad or paying two CodyCross tokens. The longer you keep the streak going, the better your prizes will be for solving these puzzles on the eighth consecutive day and the start of a new seven-day period.

    • Information on where you are in the streak is shown below the Archive button in the section labeled "Daily Streak." on the Events tab.

  4. 4

Learn about the "Today's Password" section, just below the "Today's Crossword" section on the Events tab. "Today's Password" is available for all languages now, but not everyone in all countries will have it. CodyCross gives you single words to guess in - Wordle style. At either 5 or (sometimes) 6 characters, you'll type out answers until you've answered 6 possible answers. If you don't solve the answer correctly, you won't be told the answer - as this feature wasn't envisioned when the feature first came out in mid-April 2022 but has been reported via their contact email and Facebook groups.

    • These may also count towards the Daily Streak. However, this isn't always the case, when you miss the answer.

  1. 1

Learn about the Library feature. As you complete puzzles and Worlds, you'll be given points (called Bitz) used to buy Bitz-based books in the CodyCross Library. These books are placed on your Bookshelf, and once you gather enough books, you'll level up not only to another shelf the next time you buy a book but to get to another level with graduated awarding till the next time you'll be awarded 150 free Bitz for solving puzzles. Tap the Library tab (that looks like an old, orange, and yellow-colored book with a sky-blue light ensconced by an orange circle on the front. The first page is your Bookshelves.

    • As you complete Worlds, books will be automatically awarded and placed right on your shelves based on the title of the World.
    • As your Library grows, so does your Library level. You gain experience points by purchasing books for your Library.
    • Eight books fill a Library shelf. However, you can have numerous shelves in the same category. As you accumulate multiple books to fill multiple shelves, new bookshelves populate. Green titles are completed shelves and white titles are partially-filled shelves.
    • On the Library bookshelves page, you'll see your Bitz bookshelves level and progress to the next level.

  2. 2

Learn about the Bookstall page. If you tap the green and yellow book down in the bottom right corner with a plus sign circled by a blue border on your Library bookshelves page, you'll see your bookstall. Here, you can buy books using Bitz you've accumulated. Tap the green and white button that lists the points total you'll need to purchase these books. Common Bitz points for books include 100, 500, 1000, and 2000. There will only be five different books available each day - refreshing at midnight your local time.

    • Twenty-five Bitz can also be taken once per day (refreshes at midnight your local time) from the Library page without any other action.
    • Bitz books have a small two-page spread for each book - called a curiosity[7], once you open or purchase the book. It'll open once you purchase the book, and for older books, you can go to your Bookshelves page and tap each book to read the blurb. You can then scroll up and down on the curiosity to view additional text that didn't fit originally.
    • Books refresh at midnight your local time. If you don't get the book you are after, sorry. But unless it comes around again when you have the Bitz, you'll be in for a rude awakening of playing more to get more points.
    • You'll find how many Bitz points you have up near the top of your Bookstall page.
    • Once you've collected a book to your bookshelf and have read the curiosity for the book and have tapped the button marked "Close", you'll have to mark the book being added to your shelf as "Cool" (because that's the only way to close this screen) to maintain order in the "The collection is growing!" screen.
    • Don't see new books and have received your daily Bitz? NO problem, just have patience. More books are available every so often, and with almost every game update in the app stores, new books are seen being added.

  1. 1

Learn about your settings inside your World screen. Up in the right corner next to your tokens section, you'll find a hamburger menu for all your settings.

    • The settings you receive in the World screen will differ from those you receive inside a puzzle in that some have been added where others these options aren't there. However, some of these settings will exist in both areas.
    • From the World map screen, you'll see that you can not only turn on and off your background music and sounds, but you'll also have some additional settings you can make for when you are in gameplay mode underneath Settings.
    • The main Settings screen houses several Settings switches to be able to be turned on and off. These include the ability to "Skip filled squares", "erase wrong words" (when incorrectly entered), "Select first slot" and "Vibration" (vibrations happen when you correctly complete a word regardless of vibration status on your phone).
    • Check your country in the main Settings screen. It's prefilled for the United States, but you can change it at any time.
    • Make the game harder - if you are fluent in a second language. Play in a different language setting. However, if you change the language in your settings, you'll start the new language on level one and proceed from there. There are German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Netherlands, Portuguese, Turkish, and three types of Cyrillic languages including Chinese, Japanese and Russian.

    • Read some of the technical jargon existing towards the bottom of the Settings screen - outside of the game. These include their Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and their information about their management of data.
    • What's New gives you a rundown of the newest features CodyCross has added and changed - which you may see from time to time when loading up your CodyCross game app.

  • Much like Walt Disney created Hidden Mickeys at the Disney Parks, CodyCross has created hidden Codys. Cody's are hidden within each World map.[8]

  • CodyCross has been around since 2017. However, every so often they release new languages that are newer and have fewer Worlds than the English one released first.[9]

  • CodyCross gets examined routinely by third parties for game cheats. Several cheat websites are found online, and you can also research the clues via any variety of devices designed to give you information.

    • There is the Game Solver for CodyCross website (which continuously updates with new levels as they are added), but the remainder of the cheat websites have stopped updating since mid-2020 and included CodyCrossAnswers, GameAnswer, and PuzzleAnswers.
    • Search the details without using either cheat website and when all else fails, then try one of these.

  • If you don't hear sounds and you have not touched your music-sounds options, check your vibration slider switch. CodyCross relies on having that slider switch so that the device isn't in Silent Mode while playing. However, if you don't want to hear the sound during ads, slide your vibration switch to produce Silent Mode on your device.
