Looking to get my pads and rotors change, but I saw many mixed reviews about powerstop brakes some say that there is nothing wrong, the rotors and pads are working as intended and some are unlucky. Anyone have experience having powerstop brakes system?

Can you guys recommend which brand I should buy to get rotors and pads for just daily driver?

I used to install powerstop all the time at the shop. They were cheaper than oreills/napa and performed better. Then a few years ago they either changed manufacturing, or brake material something was different. We did a few vehicles after that, and had nothing but issues. I'll be going Stoptech on my vehicle when the time comes, powerstop burned me too many times.

Yes thats what I read from some people on other forum also that they change their materials. So its kinda like hit and miss you either get good ones or defected products

I had power stop and braking was bad. I had to push the brake pedal harder than stock brakes. Yes I did the break in! The pads felt too hard. It works best when brakes is hot, like tracking. Not normal driving. I was gonna keep the rotors only and use a different brand pad, if it makes a difference.

Boy I'm a retard. My Amazon brakes are power stop Z26 Street Warriors.

Cons- They are not dust free like they state on their site, but not terrible. There's not enough grease in the kit, so I had to pick up some more.

Pros- cheap, looks good, quite, stops car fine in my case.

I like PowerStop ceramic pads. I use them on my Corvette and have been very pleased. Performance is good and no squealing! Z23 series, not the racing series. I recommend them.

I've had PowerStop on my FA5, my '13 Silverado, and currently on all four corners of the wife's RDX. They'll go on my FB6 in a bit when she "needs brake work". Never had an issue aside from my wife warping the first front set of Z23s. I don't fault the equipment there. RDX is a 2-ton little pig, and my wife has warped every rotor set she's ever met since I've known her. Been all good since I went Z23 on fronts and backs.

I will vouch for powerstop brakes...my wife's 08 Odyssey used to warp the heck out of some aftermarket rotors (advance auto/auto zone)...i read up and found that warping was a common problem because the rotors never got enough airflow to cool them down in the front...i installed powerstop slotted/drilled rotors with their ceramic/metallic blend brake pads (all four wheels) about 4 years ago and they are still holding up great with heavy driving... haven't seen where im even close to having to change the pads (remarkable) and the rotors barely have a wear ring...i put the same slotted/drilled on the front my 2013 civic lx because i occasionally tow a light trailer and they are holding up fabulously

Bumping this thread,. I'm looking at picking up a Powerstop Z23 brake kit for my wife's car. Just looking for a slight improvement over OEM for a daily driver nothing special. Any further insight or experience with the product or the brand would be appreciated.

Exactly…. I will not recommend powerstop…

for oem style brake upgrade, I recommend stoptech or brembo
