Similar new vehicles that may interest you As part of broader 2017 upgrades for the Range Rover, Land Rover will introduce a new, top-of-the-range model – the 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic at a cost of $316,000. The model marks the expansion of this top-end Range Rover line into petrol power, enhancing Land Rover’s ability to compete with cars like the Bentley Bentayga. The Dynamic builds upon the Range Rover SVAutobiography, which was introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show and recently arrived in Australia. The Australian SVAutobiography is available only with a 4.4-litre diesel V8 – other markets like the US can also choose a five-litre supercharged petrol V8 from the Jaguar F-Type R. That enormous petrol is now coming here under the SVAutobiography Dynamic. It’s a motor that produces a muscular 405kW of power and 680Nm of torque – enough to punt the near-three-tonne Range Rover flagship on the 0-100km/h run in just 5.4 seconds through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations – or SVO – division have also sat the car 8mm lower for better cornering reflexes. All the usual refinements from the ‘standard’ SVAutobiography are still included: the finest leathers, woods, aluminium and other metal elements are all sourced and fitted to these bespoke SUVs. The leather quilting on the seats, knurled finishes on the switchgear and ultra-plush carpeting take the SVAutobiography line well beyond the Vogue and Autobiography trims. The Dynamic model will be distinguishable by a few differences outside: there are a number of badges and a ‘Graphite Atlas’ coloured finish to the side gills, bumper accents and Range Rover lettering.
