What happened to Dash PBS Kids?

He's being discontinued as a visual element after audience testing revealed a preference for the Dash-less logo. However, the new brand package includes a host of new PBS kid characters, and will keep existing characters Dot, Dee and Del in the mascot lineup.

However, this criticism is largely mitigated by the rest of the PBS Kids brand system. Dash is gone, while co-mascots Del, Dot, and Dee will technically stick around, albeit joined by an endless collection of new characters, who have evolved from green people into all people.

The refreshed look is designed to build on the equity and strength of the PBS KIDS brand and optimized for today's digitally-focused kids and families. Audiences will see a new text-focused logo dominated by bright, fun colors, large bold lettering and clear visuals.
