It’s my full-time job-and really my passion-to make sure your visit is always a great one. While I am part of a large organization, as an Owner-Operator, I’m actually an individual business partner of Chick-fil-A. This brings not only responsibility and accountability, which is good for Guests and our Team Members alike, it also allows me to bring a local flavor to the Restaurant. I grew up in Raleigh, NC and remember visiting the Grand Strand as a child during family vacations. I never dreamed that my beautiful wife, Brooke, and I would would get the opportunity to raise our four children, Samual, Adeline, Amelia, and Theodore, here while operating the greatest Restaurants. My goal is to make this Restaurant a place that helps create and cultivate community. I plan to use our remarkable food and our amazing Team Members to serve others and invest in people. Some organizations we love to partner with include Horry County Schools, the local Chamber of Commerce, North Strand Housing Shelter, and many others who help support this great community. I’m passionate about today’s youth and energized by the opportunity to help them develop so they can positively impact our area. A new Chick-fil-A is set to open along the Grand Strand in early 2022, the company confirmed Wednesday.

The new location will be just north of Myrtle Beach city limits by the Myrtle Beach Mall at U.S. 17 and Highway 22.

“It’s our pleasure to confirm we will be opening Chick-fil-A US 17 at Hwy 22 in Myrtle Beach in early 2022,” a statement from Chick-fil-A reads. “We look forward to joining the community and serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”

The location is in addition to others scattered across Horry County from Conway to Surfside to Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

Headquartered in Atlanta, the founder of Chick-fil-A started a restaurant in 1946 called The Dwarf Grill, according to the company’s website. Founder S. Truett Cathy opened the first Chick-fil-A in 1967. The restaurants can now be found in 47 states across the country.

What does Chick Fil stand for?

When we first opened our doors in 1967, our founder Truett Cathy wanted the company's name to reflect the top quality customers should expect each time they visited a restaurant. That's why he chose Chick-fil-A: “Chick” to represent our signature menu item, and “fil-A” as a play on the word “filet,” with a small twist.
