Theyre the same, only difference is the title really, that and after you invade with the bloody finger your characters eyes turn red, if you invade with the recusant finger your characters eyes turn golden, you can however disable this entirely using the mirror in the roundtbale hold by turning eye effects to off.

Miyazaki's games have all had invasions, as far back as Demon's Souls. It's the price you pay for enabling co-op easy mode, you open yourself up to invasions. Fromsoft has already pandered to noobs/casual players like you enough by making it so you can only be invaded while in co-op now.

The Bloody Finger can be used as an online item that allows the player to attempt to invade the world of another player. Invaders are tasked with finding and killing the host of that world, but will often have to contend with the host's co-operative allies as well as the host themselves.

One-time consumable versions of this item, known as Festering Bloody Fingers, can be obtained in the following ways:

10 can be bought from Patches for 1,000 Runes each
5 can be bought from the Nomadic Merchant in the Mistwood near Fort Haight in Limgrave for 1,000 Runes
8 can be bought from Isolated Merchant in Raya Lucaria for 1,500 Runes each
10 can be bought from the Imprisoned Merchant in Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum for 2,000 Runes each
