How old are the Junior Bake Off 2022 contestants?

According to contestant Sophie Faldo, the application is seven pages long and has you describe in detail your experience with baking. "Every section, like bread and cakes, and biscuits, has its own page and you have to say what your signature bake is and how often you bake it," Faldo told Radio Times.

In Junior Bake Off, children bakers aged 9 to 15 compete to be crowned Junior Bake Off Champion by completing a series of challenges involving creating cakes, biscuits, bread, and pastries. It is a British television baking competition. Love Productions produces the show, which premiered in 2011 as a spin-off from The Great British Bake Off.

Junior Bake Off 2022

Contestants in the seventh series of Junior Bake Off compete for the title of series 7 winner. As host and judges, comedian Harry Hill and bakers Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill returned. From the first to the third episode, Paul Hollywood stepped in for Charles.Over the course of five days, the bakers will be separated into two groups of eight, with four from each group being eliminated. In the week-long finals, the last four bakers from each group will be mixed, culminating in a "super-difficult showdown" episode that will select the winner.

1) Joey

Joey and his four siblings live in Manchester. Joey's mother taught him the fundamentals of cooking, but he has subsequently expanded his knowledge by studying online. Joey is known for his signature meringues and chiffon cake, and he enjoys using his baking to test his scientific mind. Joey is a huge Spurs supporter and a football fanatic. His abilities aren't restricted to baking and football, however; he also has a musical side and enjoys composing soundtracks for his brother's home movies.

2) Kezia 

Kezia has an older sister and a younger brother and lives in London. She's been baking since she was four years old, and her specialty is cakes, but she's up for anything. Kezia enjoys baking as well as cooking up a storm in the kitchen and hosting lavish family dinners. She adores being outside and grows fruit and vegetables in her garden, which she enjoys using in her cooking and baking. Kezia is not only creative in the kitchen; she also enjoys painting and went to art school for two years. Her artistic flair can be seen in her baking, where she pays close attention to detail and creates stunning results.

3) Lola

Lola lives in Lancashire with her older sister, Luna, as well as two rabbits and a pet dog. Lola loves ballroom dancing so much in her spare time that you'll seldom see her without her dancing shoes on. Her father's pastry and bread-making inspired her, but her personal approach is all chocolate all the time. She enjoys ginger and creating cakes with a lot of sweetness and bright designs that reflect her cheerful attitude. Lola dreams of one day owning her own bakery, with one side catering to people and the other offering dog goodies.

4) Macy

Macy has two brothers and lives in Liverpool. She was a novice baker who fell in love with all things flour during lockdown and taught herself how to bake using the internet. She enjoys being playful and creative in the kitchen, even if it results in a bit of a mess. Macy, along with her father and younger brother, is a die-hard Everton supporter when she's not baking. She also enjoys playing football for her school and in a Girls' Football League, which she participates in once a week. Macy may be seen off the field channelling her energy into drum practice.

5) Mia WL 

Mia is a resident of North London. Her passion for baking began when she was four years old, when she helped her grandmother create cupcakes and scones. Her aesthetic is bold and colourful, and she enjoys pushing herself to try new things, especially while making her burger illusion cakes. Aside from baking, Mia has a lot of energy and enjoys tearing up the ice rink: she has already earned her Level 8 Badge and is currently learning to skate on one leg. Mia also has a strong interest in theatre, and when she isn't taking acting classes, she is inspired by musicals.

6) Quique

Quique lives in Devon with his brother and sister, as well as Diego, his dog, and Bola, his cat. He migrated from Madrid with his family when he was six months old, and his cooking reflects his Spanish heritage. For as long as he can remember, he's been baking. His specialty is biscuits, but he also enjoys baking chocolatey treats, notably his chunky chocolate cookies. Quique is a high-energy person who enjoys karate and kickboxing outside of the kitchen. Quique only sits down when he's playing a board game, which he enjoys developing and playing with his family and friends.

7) Will

The company is situated in Hertfordshire. Will grew up surrounded by food. Will's mother is a Food Technology teacher, so he's been in the kitchen since he was a child. Will was encouraged to pick up the rolling pin and start baking after obtaining a copy of his Auntie's brownie recipe during lockdown. Will spends his free time street dancing to hip hop music, a hobby for which he has received multiple honours. Will also enjoys art and design, and his long-term goal is to become an architect. Will is currently inspired by the want to impress his toughest baking critic: his younger brother.

8) Eliza

Eliza has one younger sister and resides in Hertfordshire. She began baking alongside her family when she was four years old, but she became much more self-sufficient at the age of seven. Cinnamon and nutmeg are her favourite flavours to use since they remind her of Christmas, which is her favourite time of year. Eliza has a variety of skills, including baking. She enjoys acting and takes a weekly theatre class. Eliza regularly takes centre stage, rapping to her favourite musicians AJ Tracey and Anne-Marie, as well as singing her favourite musical performances. On weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding bikes with her younger sister and father, and helping her mother in the garden.

9) Aisya

Aisya has two younger siblings and a fish named Ninja. She lives in Manchester. Her mother taught her how to cook Malaysian curry puffs, which she remembers fondly. Aisya enjoys incorporating her background into her baking by incorporating flavours and ingredients that have never been seen in the Junior Bake Off tent before. She even gets advice from her Malaysian grandma, whom she video contacts on a regular basis. She attributes her talents to her deft hands: when she isn't perfecting cake decoration, she may be found playing the piano at a Grade 4 level.

10) D'vonte

D'Vonte is from Nottinghamshire, and he cherishes his younger brother. He learnt to bake from his mother, but it wasn't until his younger brother was born that he realised it was his turn to pitch in. He has extensive vegan and dairy-free baking knowledge, as well as a passion for cake decoration. D'Vonte naturally picked up the piano to follow in his family's footsteps. He'll often be found climbing trees or flying around on his hoverboard, as he's very active and lively.

11) Mia C

Geordie Mia has a West Highland Terrier named Bert and lives in Newcastle. Mia began baking with her grandparents when she was four years old. Mia's home kitchen is her domain, and she enjoys keeping it spotless while creating bread, cakes, and her renowned millionaire's shortbread. Mia's culinary technique is fun and imaginative, and she likes how baking combines her three favourite subjects: maths, food, and drama. Mia is an adventurous and athletic woman who will take on any adventure, including trampolining and long-distance cycling, as well as paragliding and aerial assault courses. She is also a "triple threat" at her performing arts academy because she can dance, sing, and act.

12) Fraser

Fraser has two younger sisters and resides in York. He has a deep understanding of ingredients and a level of culinary maturity that defies his age. Fraser is an avid gardener who grows a variety of in-season veggies to use into his dishes. He also enjoys foraging and discovering new flavours to use in his baking. Fraser appreciates caring for animals, particularly his chickens and ducks, whose eggs add added flavour to his fresh baked goods. Fraser is a self-taught baker who enjoys experimenting with different flavours and techniques. He'll probably be playing cricket with the family if he's not in the garden or baking. He wants to acquire a smallholding and be entirely self-sufficient in the future.

13) Gabriel

Gabriel lives in Cornwall and enjoys being outside and near the water. His grandmother began teaching him how to bake when he was three years old. He prefers to concentrate on flavour and has creative cooking ideas. Gabriel is a budding entrepreneur with a slew of business ideas up his sleeve and a keen eye for fresh inventions. He participates in a local Scouts group and sings in a choir. He also performs in young theatrical and dance companies. Gabriel also enjoys skiing in his leisure time, though he admits that it's a difficult activity to keep up with if you live in the South West of England.

14) Olivia

Olivia lives in Nottingham with her younger sister, Holly, and their Cockapoo. She's always enjoyed baking, but during the first lockdown, she developed a new addiction. She enjoys baking birthday cakes for friends and family, but her favourite baked goods are doughnuts, which she likes to eat warm. Olivia's entire family is athletic, and she has followed in their footsteps, playing hockey since she was four years old and later adding cricket and netball to her repertoire. She's at the top of the table football leaderboard and takes delight in her victories, even when she's on roller skates.

15) Salma

Salma has two brothers and a younger sister and lives in Manchester. Her mother and grandmother both taught her how to bake, so it's in her blood. She attempts to include as much of her Libyan and Maltese culinary history as possible into her baking by learning recipes passed down through the centuries. Salma is the proud owner of three well-behaved pet budgies who obey her every command. She also enjoys skateboarding and roller skating, as well as doing calligraphy. 

16) Tomos

Welsh-speaker Tomos is a Cardiff resident. His family encouraged him to begin baking when he was six years old. His specialty is cinnamon buns, but he also excels in cakes and biscuits, as seen by his family's rave reviews of his lemon drizzle. Tomos enjoys playing the piano and sports, especially football and rugby, when he is not in the kitchen. He enjoys supporting his native country and hopes to follow in their footsteps in the future.

The seventh season of the Junior Bake Off which is the spin-off of The Great British Bake Off started on January 10, 2022 and it premiered on Monday – Fridays at 5pm on Channel 4. As of now, ten episodes of the show have concluded and premiered on Channel 4.
