Boveda makes 2-way humidity control for many products, including cannabis, hemp, cigars, wood instruments, food and more. You choose what relative humidity (RH) you need based on the product you’re protecting. All Boveda are accurate to +/- 2% of the RH printed on the pack in an airtight environment. Show For cannabis and hemp: Choose 58% RH or 62% RH. You can’t go wrong with either RH, it depends on your personal preference. For premium cigars: 69% RH is the most popular Boveda for cigars. There are also three more choices for cigars, depending on your cigar humidor and/or the cigars you’re storing inside. For seasoning wood cigar humidors: 84% RH. For seasoning wood cases for wood instruments: 72% RH. For wood instruments: 49% RH or High Absorbency 49% RH (for wood instruments in year-round extreme humidity). For reed tips for woodwind instruments: 32% RH, 72% RH or 84%. Find the right RH for foods, packaging and other uses here, including popcorn, dried herbs, brown sugar and more. Don’t mix RH levels within the same container, humidor or case. And do not use Boveda with other humidification products because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda. Use this RH chart to Decide What Boveda You Need
65% RH — For Cuban cigars because Cuban cigars are tightly bound and tend to mold at a higher RH level. We recommend this RH for long-term storage of oily tobacco commonly found in Puro cigars from one territory. 69% RH (Most popular RH for premium cigars) — For cigars in airtight humidors, including but not exclusively for Boveda Humidor Bags, Boveda Acrylic Humidors, polymer travel humidors. Also best for high-end humidors, including but not exclusively Elie Bleu and Daniel Marshall. 72% RH—For cigars in most wood humidors, glass top humidors and non-polymer travel humidors. Since wood humidors exchange moisture, it’s not uncommon to see a decrease of 2–5%RH. The 72% accommodates and even compensates for the moisture loss allowing the humidor to maintain a sought-after high 60s RH level. 75% RH — For cigars in drafty humidors and extreme environments, the 75% accommodates a high amount of moisture loss allowing the humidor to maintain a high 60s RH level. Also recommended for humidors housed at high altitudes and in desert-like conditions (use at your own discretion). 84% RH — ONLY use to precondition (or season) a wood humidor WITHOUT cigars in it. This formula is specifically designed to provide moisture directly to the cellular structure of the wood humidor during the seasoning process. Once you’ve seasoned with Boveda, your humidor is primed for your most treasured cigars. GOOD TO KNOW:

Is Boveda 58 or 62 better?Choosing between Boveda 58% RH and 62% RH is a personal preference depending on how you prefer your cannabis experience and the humidity level of where you are. Some consumers choose 58% RH for personal-use products (blunts, joints, pre-rolls and dry herb vaporizers) and 62% for larger cannabis storage.
Is 72 RH good for cigars? You can boost the humidity up a bit when the temperature is cooler, but we don't recommend exceeding 72% RH. Your cigars will smoke perfectly as long as you maintain a steady environment between 63 to 70 degrees and 65 to 72% RH.
