What level spray tan should I do?

One of the big decisions of getting an Air-Tan.. What level do you choose?!

Picking the perfect level for your skin tone or occasion can be tricky, and we’ll always help you narrow it down to what will work best for you when you come in for your appointment But if you’re looking for the 411 on our levels before you come in – I’ve got you.

We often get the question, “Do you have a chart of what the levels look like?” We don’t. This is because we all have different starting skin tones so a 2 on one person isn’t necessarily going to look the same as a 2 on someone else. But here’s a general description of each level to help you decide what might be best for you before you come in for your appointment:

LEVEL 1/Light: This is our lightest level. A level 1 will help to even out your skin tone and bring a little life back to your skin without giving you much noticeable color.

LEV

EL 2/Light-Medium: One of our most common levels. This is a nice glowy, sun-kissed tan. A level 2 is really common for those who aren’t looking for anything too dark, but want to be able to notice a difference in their coloring. Level 2 is a common go-to for those getting tanned for an event like a wedding or prom.

LEVEL 3/Medium: Level 3 is also a common go-to for a lot of our clients. This is going to be a pretty solid medium tan and is common pick for vacation. With a level 3, you’re going to have a nice bronze and people may start asking you “Did you just get back from vacation? You have such a good tan!”

LEVEL 4/Medium-Dark: This level is a “Hey, look how tan I am!” kind of tan. You’re going to be pretty dark with a 4 and your tan line is definitely going to be nice and noticeable.

LEVEL 5/Dark: A 5 isn’t for the faint of heart – this is the darkest we can tan you. I find that those that tan really well naturally or are have darker hair can pull off a dark tan really well. But no matter who you are, a 5 is going to make you look like you just got back from a month long vacation in the tropics. So if that’s what you’re looking for, a 5 is for you!

If you’re coming in for your first tan soon, don’t worry! We’ll help you navigate which level will be a good starting point for you. Have any questions before you come in? Just give us a call at 317-254-8267.
