How to start Radahn festival Reddit

How to start Radahn festival Reddit

When I travel to redmane castle none of the npcs who are apart of the festival are present and when you speak to the old man he just tells you to return at a later date. Have opened the way to the capital already so feels like I should fight Radahn. What am I missing?

Appreciate your post for others but you can get into the castle without ever meeting Blaidd. He just says something along the lines of "I must admit I was worried we missed our meeting. Nevertheless here we are, are you ready?" and explains what to do for Ranna. Not the exact wording but something along that. I meant to to go tot he river to meet him but got sidetracked. I've still never been to the river.

So I activated the Grand Lift of Dectus, and nothing happened. So I went through Ranni's questline, and checked Redmane castle after every step. And the actual trigger for the festival was Sellen telling you about how the stars will fall when Radahn dies. I never talked to her in the Witchbane ruins. So that was the trigger for me. (NG+)

Guys I need help. I’m at the festival with blaidd and pot man but i can’t enter the boss door. the fog is there but i can’t traverse? is there anything i need to do before this fight? i have godrick’s rune activated but can’t access rennella’s for now

level 2

Go back up to to where the castle carrier (guy in the chair/guy who talks or starts the cutscene) is. Then go to the room he was originally in, behind him. There should be a door that leads to an elevator. This elevator takes you down to a teleport that activates the fight.

level 1

idk if it helps, but try doing the Rania questline till the moment Blaidd says he goes to the festival and/or save Alexander above the Saintsbridge (the bridge between Stormveil and Summonwatter Village)

level 2

Blaidd isn’t there for me. I spoke to him in the tower to the northeastern part of the map.

I’ve killed the boss that leads to the festival area but I can’t trigger the event

level 2

Thanks so much that finally worked

level 2

the church of vows and atone for your sins, that will reset all npc agro and bring that shitty wizard back, then just carry on with the questline

Thansk soooo muchhh my friends. Finally, I could start the Radahn Festival!!!

level 1

You actually don't need to meet Blaid necessarily, I never did but I met Alexander the big pot guy and he mentions the festival so I think as long as you meet one of the NPCs that goes to the festival it'll be available. Maybe the mention of the festival at all is the gate.

level 2

I never met Alexander or Blaid until I got to Redmane castle. Maybe it's because I got through Raya Lucaria already and that triggered some NPC stuff? Redmane was cleared for me when I first found it (apparently by Blaid). My buddy just went up the grand lift but hasn't beaten Raya Lucaria, it wasn't cleared by Blaid yet, and there isn't anyone where the festival is for him.

level 2

i missed blaidd in the mistwood entirely. Ranni didn't appear in her tower until after killing radahn. I think what triggered the festival for me was speaking to iji the blacksmith.

level 1

You need to do a little bit of Sorccerer Sellen’s quest. Talk to her in Waypoint Ruins located east of lime grave. Then, talk to her again at Witchbane Ruins located at the island south of “The First Step” grace

I also defeated Godrick (repaired his rune) and Academy boss. You don’t need to talk to the jar dude or the wolf guy.

level 1

OP. have you gone to the alts plateau via the ruin strewn precipice?

level 2

Yeah, turns out you don't need both halfs of the medallion. But when it comes to the Radahn festival I've beaten him on two seperate playhtoughs now and starting the Ranni questline definitely works

How to start Radahn festival Reddit

I've finished several playthroughs now and haven't been able to figure out what triggers Radahn's festival to begin. Does anyone know? All I know is that you can't rush to fight him as your first boss.

How to start Radahn festival Reddit

level 1

Two ways I believe: one is if you get up to Gelmir/the Capital (through any of the ways) and rest at a site of grace it will convert to the festival.

The other way is to follow Ranni's quest. When you learn from Sellen that Radahn is blocking the way to Nokron and then speak to Blaidd he lets you know that he's off to fight him.

So Radahn can be your first Great rune if you want

level 2

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense!

level 1

I think it's either beating the crucible and Misbegotten duo, or progressing Rannis questline to the point where she tells you to go there, so yes it can't be your first boss.

level 2

It certainly isn't beating the duo because I did that when I tried to fight him first and Jerren said come back later. I suspect Ranni's questline may be one way to trigger it but on my first playthrough I was able to fight him before I even knew she had a quest line (after slaying two shardbearers before him).

level 1

Will fighting godskin noble in volcano manor trigger the festival and Radahn’s fight?

level 2

Also looking for the answer to this. I’m tempted to beat godskin noble (without resting at the post-boss grace) for an easier path to the +7 sombering stone. I’m just worried that the boss fight itself might trigger the festival

level 2

I wanted to make this blurred like spoiler, sorry if i ruined something

level 1

He opens up after Renala doesn't he?

level 2

Nah the festival is triggered by one of two things: Ranni's questline or finding both halves of the dectus medallion and accessing the lift to Altus.

level 2

No, I actually beat Radahn before I beat Rennala.

level 2

I beat Radahn long before I reached that lift.

level 1

If you are not doing Ranni's questline, you will need both halves of the Dectus medallion and access the dectus lift in order to start the festival. To trigger the actual festival you have to talk to the NPC that is standing on the archway just after the Wolf/crucible knight duo fight.

level 1

Everyone here is smoking something because I hadn't talked to Ranni nor gotten to the lift of Dectus and the festival had started. I went after I bear Renalla but hadn't even been to Carian manor yet. Not sure what starts it but it's not rannis questline or have anything to do with the lift like many are saying

level 2

I have suggested it might just auto-unlock after Godrick is defeated. Someone should try to verify if Redmane Castle is the festival immediately after beating Godrick.

level 2

Hearing about it from Alexander isn't a trigger. Went to check Redmane tonight and everything was business as usual as they tried to murder the newcomer. Me. As I haven't set foot on Altus via the lift, or even a little sideways through Volcano Manor, and haven't spoken a word to Ranni up at the Three Sisters despite standing in front of her, it can't be said talking to Alexander is a trigger. As that's the grace I started from seeing him there made me suspect that is not the case. Fortunately for me I now just have to step into the arena to beat those bosses and clear the rest of Caelid, so the only time I'll be returning to the irradiated Australia of Elden Ring is to beat Radahn. I hate the wretched place. Easy to imagine how it must have been much nicer before Malenia committed ecological terrorism.

level 1

It is really simple, you just need to get to the Altus Plateau and rest there. There are three ways to get there: from the abductor virgin at the bottom of the academy you get to Volcano Manor and you can escape to Mt Gelmir and go out via the broken bridge, getting both halves of the Lidft of Dectus and using the lift, or fighting your way through the Ruin-Strewn Precipice.

Edit: apparently there is a second way, getting far enough into Ranni's quest can trigger the festival as well

level 1

It's possible that it simply becomes active after you beat Godrick. I'd suggest beating Godrick then immediately trying to make your way to Redmane Castle to see if it is active yet. If not, then it might be triggered by immediate progress in Liurnia. I personally didn't reach Redmane Castle until I was already well into Ranni's quest and was sent to Redmane Castle to defeat Radahn in order to free the stars.

level 1

I'm watching Otz's gameplay and is curious about why he can't do the festival when I just came in and started the festival without fighting a duo boss. After a bit of searching, I think your best bet is progressing Ranni's questline until Blaidd tells you to go to the festival with him. Another trigger might be going through the hidden passage OR getting the Grand Lift Medallion to go to Altus Plateau and resting in a grace once you get up there. It's also best that you help Alexander the Pot since he's also an NPC that you can summon during the festival.

How do I start the festival of Radahn?

The Grand Lift of Dectus method for starting the Radahn Festival requires players find two halves of the Dectus Medallion. The first, and easier, of the two halves is found in Fort Haight, to the southeast of the Mistwood. The second half is found in the Dragonbarrow, a particularly tough zone in northern Caelid.

How do I start the festival of Radahn Reddit?

Fought Radahn on NG+2 and 3, and all I did was simply take the ruin strewn precipice to get to the Altus plateau. So basically, all you need to do is get to the Altus plateau. You don't need to actually activate the lift.

How can I activate Rahdan festival?

To activate this lift you'll need both sides of the Dectus Medallion. The right side can be in a chest up the ladder in Fort Faroth, which can be located in Caelid. Back in Limgrave, you'll locate the left side of the medallion in Fort Height on the east of Mistwood.

Why can't I start the Radahn fight?

You won't be able to fight against Starscourge Radahn until you bring together the Dectus Medallion, activating the Grand Lift of Dectus between Altus Plateau and Liurnia of the Lakes.
